So.

I tried making a 70/30 juice.

but I did it by weight. I aimed for 0.1kg total.

I did 0.025kg of flavor, 0.05kg of pg, and then the rest vg. I accidentally got it to 0.15kg, when adding the VG, so there should've been theoretically a little more than 30% pg.

However, when I put it into the new Smok TF-D tank, I just got, and vaped it at 60w, and then 63.5w, it wasn't logo until the coil burnt, but I was vaping below the 65w the coil was rated for.

So, I assume maybe by weight is not accurate enough, and it resulted in the juice being too thin?
Is it better do to percentage by ML then? or what?

EDIT: The flavor I used, Lorann Oils "Super Strength Cotton Candy" while it has pg, also has triacetin, so I am not sure whether that could have contributed to it being too thin as well, or not.

If think you'll find that the Vast Majority of people on the ECF who DIY by Weight will express recipes in Grams.

Anyway...

If you ended up making 150 Grams of Finished e-Liquid, and you used 50 Grams of PG and 25 Grams of Flavoring, then the VG portion must be 75 Grams. Since the Flavoring was/is PG Based, it can be considered PG also.

So what you mixed was 75 Grams of PG and 75 Grams of VG. And that's 50% | 50%.

BTW - If you had done that 100 Gram Target of Finished e-Liquid using 50 Grams of PG, 25 Grams of PG Flavoring and the rest VG, you would have a Finished e-Liquid @ 75%PG | 25%VG.

Now if that is what you were going for, or Close to it, Cool. But that would be a Very Thin e-Liquid. Thinner then what you made. And 75% PG many people would find to be Kinda Harsh.

Alright thanks, so it was too thin,

and I should use grams instead, so I made a mistake using the wrong units, due to my inexperience.

It's Not really a big deal.

Grams are just the Common Units of Measure for people DIY by Weight. Just like Milliliters are for Volume Measurement.
