I find that some of the cartomizers, the ones that taste perfume-like, seem to have a rose oil or rose water kind of flavor and aroma. When I get past that I can taste more of the flavor that I expect. I don't know if it is because I get used to the rose flavor (kind of like getting used to the sound of nearby trains or traffic) or if it actually disappears. Or maybe I'm just overly sensitive to it...

In any case , while I love the fragrance of roses, I don't like the taste. I have only noticed this flavor in the V4L cartomizers.

Don't get me wrong! I love V4L... but I do find the periodic overwhelming rose (assuming that is what it is) annoying.

Does anyone else think it might be a rose flavor?

Sadly, im getting that taste myself in just about all of my new order. And im glad you described it as rosy. My personal description was florally...sort of like when you walk into a floral shop and your hit with that wave of flowery smell. Thats what i taste in all of the new cartomizers.I purchased all of the new flavors and the only ones I didnt were cinnamon roll and smores and they bonused those to me anyway.

I have a few of the new flavors and Im not getting perfume at all.I have had one cart like that a while ago when there was a problem, since then all my flavors have been great. If I dont like something,Its just my taste and I dont order that flavor again. There are plenty of choices so I dont worry too much about it.I guess I dont expect to LOVE everything.I cant blame anyone but my tastebuds.

I've gotten a few cartos with the perfumey taste, but not in any recent orders. I can only equate the taste to Shaker's Rose Vodka - blechhhh! A friend made me a martini out of that stuff one time, and after one sip I had to say, "Look, there's Halley's Comet!" while I quickly poured the rest over the balcony.

I really like the variety of flavor options that are available at V4L. And the batteries and goodies are all fantastic. I have not ordered repeats of any particular cartomizers at this point.

A lot of the cartomizers I have gotten over the past month that have a rose taste to them. I really want to give those particular flavors a fair shot so I'm trying to figure out if those flavors always have the floral notes or if it is a once in a while thing.

If it is part of the normal mix then I can say I don't like those flavors and I don't want to have them replaced and I won't order them again.

If it an anomaly and they don't normally have the rose flavor then I would like to have them replaced when another batch is stocked so I can determine if I like the real flavor or not.

Maybe it is the nic level (mostly 11 mg and 18 mg) I have ordered? Should I wait and try again? Has there been any consensus on this?

LOL - I can start to create a list. I gave A LOT of kits and goodies as gifts this year so I bought just about every flavor out there (I think I have well over forty flavors) and split up the boxes among several people. So... I'll start by testing each again and compiling a list and posting it here.

Since I have only ever ordered one box of each flavor I don't know if others who have purchased the same flavor more than once have noticed that sometimes they have the floral notes and sometimes they don't.

Let the documenting commence!

:)

You know I am begining to wonder if a quick Taryn spin trick wouldn't cure that purfume problem. I know shaking a bottle will get rid of it (an leaving the cap off a few minutes) I think the flavors settle or separate in some flavors..maybe the ones that have several components. Give the spin a try and get back to us!

Spinning is a great idea!!!!

I'll try that after I finish going through all of the flavors! I do have to say that after tasting over twenty of them I need to take a break. My taste buds are on overload! LOL

I will try to get the majority of them tasted before I head out for the evening.

(And as a silly side note - those darn condoms can wear out your fingers when you are taking them off and putting them on repetitively. I wonder how they put them on in the factory? I don't think I could handle being a condom applier as a career!!!)

I will try the spin trick next. Stay tuned for my update! (And for those of you wishing to try tasting one of each of all of your flavors... be prepared to have your taste buds revolt periodically!)

And again... if the perfume taste is normally part of the flavor and it just hits me wrong, then I have no desire what-so-ever to try to have all of these flavors replaced. I will simply consider it a learning experience! But if there is something wrong with these cartomizers it is a different matter entirely.

That is pretty much what I'm trying to figure out. I have only ordered one pack of each of those flavors so I don't know if the taste I'm getting is normal for the flavor or not. If it is then I would attribute it to my own particular taste processing and I simply won't get them again. But I don't want to have to replace the ones I perceive as being perfume-like in order to find out! LOL

I would love to know if anyone who has been ordering the same flavor over and over has notice that one particular cartomizer or one particular batch had the perfume quality but the others didn't. If that is the case then I feel I would have to give the questionable flavors another shot before judging them.

I did order cartomizers from other sources before V4L and I never had this experience. I didn't like all of the flavors I tried but none of them had this perfume-like taste.

:)

When I read some of the Dekang ingredient lists a few months back, I noticed that many of them had rose water or essence or something like that in them. I posted about it before, and I'm pretty sure that's where the perfumey taste comes from. Now there are many new flavors since I read that list, but I'd be surprised if rose water wasn't still in some of them.
