I have a bottle of e liquid from Decadent Vapours called Habana Reserve...and a bottle from I don't know where called Cream. Both of these juices have a taste of perfume. I also have this problem with the candy (Loranns) flavors, especially the dark ones.

Any idea how to counter act this perfumy taste? I have tried adding JC TN cured and pg/vg which helps some, but does anyone have a better idea?

Many of the flavors of juice we buy are made with loranns or very similar flavorings. All but a very small few of the lorann flavorings are made with a rather large percentage of alcohol. When it comes to our finished juice flavors, alcohol and heat DO NOT mix. If your juice was in the mail during a particularly hot week it may show up tasting like perfume. I have yet to find a total cure for this, but I have found something that seems to help enough to make the juice vapable. First off, buy your flavorings from Bickford Flavors. They have a whole line of fantastic flavorings that contain no alcohol, sugar or oils. They do charge a flat $9 for shipping, but keep in mind the flavors are a huge 1 full ounce glass bottle and only cost $3 each. Well worth it. I just buy 10 flavors at a time. Anyway, now for fixing your perfume juices. Vanilla, caramel and VG are the only solution I have found. A little of either flavor helps to cut the perfume taste. The VG also helps a bit. The best thing to do is get your juice cooled down with the lid off. I put mine in the fridge (in a bowl in case it spills) for about 30 minutes. Then add a few drops of caramel or vanilla. That usually is enough to make it vapeable. If not add a couple drops of VG. Hope this helps. If you plan to use bickford flavors to make your own juice remember that you need to use about 40% bickford to 60% nic juice and vg. The flavors are not as strong as lorann or capella. Much more pure and a lot less throat burn though.

The basic recipe for using Bickford flavors is as follows:
40% Bickford Flavor
40% - 50% Nic Juice (depending on how much nic strength you want)
10% - 20% Glycerine (depending on how much nic juice you used)
The exceptions to this recipe are the really strong flavors. Such as anything mint, Clove and Cinnamon. With those flavors I start at 25% and add til it tastes the way I want it.

Perfume taste....

My girlfriend bought some flavors from getsuckered.com. One of them was Honeysuckle, which we tried right away. OMG! Perfume aroma, very strong. The vapor smells like heaven, but the vaping it will make you ill.

BTW, we discovered from reading the ingredients list that these flavors contain "soybean oil" so use them at your own risk.

All of the bickford flavors are split into 2 categories. Oil based and Water based. Always use the water based. You should never use any oil based items in your e-cigs. That is exactly why I always get my flavors from bickford. The water based flavors are very extensive and they do not hide the ingredients list like many of the other flavor suppliers.
