I'm not sure where this taste is coming from, but I think its the unflavored nic liquid or plain vg as I've used these exact flavor concentrates before and not noticed it. Its not a bad taste/smell, but slighly floral, almost subtly perfumey? Its throwing off my juices a little, though. Anyone else noticed this, or can think of an alternate cause? I found it in Organic Strawberry Shortcake, Organic Kona Cream and Organic Blueberry Cheesecake. Well, in the liquids I made with those flavorings... i think because i noticed the smell/taste a tiny bit in all of the finished liquids, it must be from the onestop juice, right? Any other ideas? Not too big of a deal since I'm almost done with that unflavored eliquid, but want to make sure that's the cause. ;)

Ooh, that's a good idea! Can't believe that didn't occur to me. lol Brain fry. The smell/taste is actually gradually fading, which really doesn't make any sense to me at all. But whatever it was, and it was rather strong in all the liquid flavors I made that day, is all but gone now. Weird, right? But that's good news. At least it doesn't mean that the liquid just has a taste I don't enjoy. Esp since the supplier, onestopdiyshop, is SO fabulous, its nice to be able to snag a small quantity of unflavored there along with other stuff if i'm low.

Nope, it was 48mg nic VG + plain VG, plus a tiny bit of distilled water, plus some organic flavorings from vaperite. But i've used the flavorings before with other liquid and not had that smell. Might even be from the plastic they're kept in, i dunno. I have weirdo chem sensitivities and a bizarrely acute sense of smell, so any little thing in there chemical wise I can smell and taste. I'm just glad its going away. ;)

You know, that makes perfect sense. Also explains why the taste has dissipated. Clever human, you! Thanks so much. Didn't taste at all alcoholy, so never occurred to me that might be the culprit, but have a feeling that makes sense all the way around. Thanks so much for your help!
Your'e welcome, anytime. :)

I had the same experience. Its probably all the strong flavors being stored closely together. PA is a little too perfumey for me in general but I am kind of scent sensitive anyways.

Yep, I'm still trying to figure out the logistics of DIY. Its like, you gotta adjust the flavorings to taste, but thats a hard thing to do when the tastes change so drastically. So I'm mixing with low levels of flavor, waiting a few days, tasting, mixing a little more.. etc etc. Complex, but that seems to be the only way i've found to realistically figure out what works with a flavor. Open to suggestions from more experienced DIYers, though. ;)
