i agree but i also noticed when i got the kanger k-box and the kanger subtanks that the air flow change also helped being able to control heat and airflow is important pg may be an issue i moved to 30 pg 70 vg and it helped

also the lower the nick will help some throat hit is less with lower nick

recomend if using a large tank like a sub tank to half the nic you use more vape = more nick to asorb you dont need to poison your self more than nessarry LOL

also a Note; vaping seems to dry the throat a bit so remember to sip on some fluid like water if vaping heavily

Poison? With nicotine levels in these liquids?
Please read up on nicotine before saying things like that. Thanks.

mabey i was not clear. mabey you chose to be an .... i dont know. what i do know is volume. and any one who starts out using like an evod at 24mg of nic should not step up to a sub tank and vape at 24 mg. they should cut back on the nic percentage 50% i did and i was fine with the level being a 3 pack a day smoker.

also what is nic any way. i believe chemically it is pestacide that equals poison no matter how you cut it or how much it is.

tell you what check your self and ill check my self and have a nice day !

Play nice people, nicotine is a very dangerous poison and that comment was followed by a "lol". Ben, please dont take offense though, we do get touchy when words are used that dont need to be. As was explained to me when I got huffy after a member's rebuke, any anit-vape lib can do a google search on the words vape and poyson and your post will be at the top. You just might get famous! For the unwanted reasons though :(.

Smoker for 20 years switched to vaping and never looked back but after 6 weeks kept getting persistent sore throat, started with swollen glands then moved into sore throat, it cleared up after week then returned week later, now on week 6 I am 5 days into very painful sore throat, still vaping low voltage but uncomfortable, any one got the same symptoms

You really don't have to buy anything - maybe other than some different juices with higher VG levels and lower nicotine levels. There are a few things that I've noticed mentioned in this thread:

Sore throat, caughing, scratchy throat. As others have mentioned this can be any number of things:
    1. to warm or to much vapor
    2. to much PG content
    3. to much Nicotine content
    4. the flavor being used
Before spending any money, you can 'tone down' your vape to lower voltage/power levels and/or try to draw external air while lightly drawing on the drip-tip. This will give you much less vapor to irritate your insides with. Some will just draw into their mouth and then blow out their mouth.

I started on 70/30 (PG/VG) and found that not only my throat but my nose/nasal passages were 'itchy'. I lowered how much vapor I was inhaling while waiting for some 'test juices' I ordered to arrive. Then with the same nicotine level I tried (without flavors) 100% PG, 70/30, 50/50, 30/70 and 100% VG. For me the 'throat hit' on the PG AND the nicotine was to much for my throat to take. However I was able to enjoy 30/70 and 100% VG without nasal or throat problems.

Yes, it sounds like a lot of effort and experimentation to find what works for you however I feel it was worth it for me.

    Aspire Nautilus Flooding/spitting/exc.

I have a 1/2 dozen or more of these tanks and they can be difficult to learn how to use. The vapor production (or not!) depend on 4 things:
    1. how hard your draw on the drip tip is
    2. the airflow setting on the tank
    3. how thick/thin the juice is and how well it is wicking
    4. the voltage/power level your running your stick/mod at
The first and most inexpensive thing to try is to adjust your draw. If there is more draw then voltage/power to vaporize the juice the coil will flood. If you turn the voltage/power up higher than your juice can wick, your cotton will get burned away from the coil leaving you a burnt taste and 'spitting' as the juice oozes out across the now air gap between the coil and cotton.

If your drawing to hard you can ether adjust your airflow up or down to get more air or to restrict your draw. Personally I just leave my Nautilus tanks on the largest air hole (which still seems like not large enough) and slow my draw down.

Thicker/high VG juice won't wick as well as 50/50 or 70/30 (PG/VG) juice in a Nautilus. While I've been running a few tanks with 100% VG this past week I'm limited to 8-10W of power. Any higher I run the risk of burning the cotton on my coils (throw-a-way now). Higher VG will give you more vapor than higher PG. I've ran 70/30 and 50/50% upto 12-15W without issue (on 1.8ohm coils and depending on flavor).

I get touchy about people using words like poison. The number of times i had endless discussions with smokers and non smokers about "nicotine killing people" left me annoyed by this.
I also might have misunderstood what you wanted to say since you didn't use any punctuation.
I don't see how i chose to be an "..." as i used the words please and thanks, but let's not steal the op's topic.
Apologies if i sounded aggressive or something.

No worries like a bit of passion, unfortunately had to go home from work today as my glands swelled up bad can't swallow and feel terrible, got a doctors appointment tomorrow see what he says, going to stop vaping for few days then move onto higher VG and lower nic, Thanks again for everyone's input, happy vaping

It is also know that cigs have a chemical that will numb the back of your throat to soften the inhale. With ejuice, none of that crap is in there, so there will be a level of irritation that will happen. As for a higher VG level, I agree. I can't vape juice with a VG level of any lower than 60% or its too rough on my throat. My sweet spot is 70% tho

Keep us posted! My thoughts are either it's some sort of a cold/throat infection or you are not tolerant to PG. I think nic would leave your throat sore if it's too high but doubt your glands would swell, especially that much.
Hope you get well soon and find the issue :)

One thing that I noticed when I started vaping is that my throat would dry out. PG is hygroscopic which means it absorbs and holds water molecules. I would tend to chain vape before I went to bed and it really dried me out. When I woke up I would have a dry and irritated throat. I started making sure I was well hydrated after that and I also reduced my PG level. I still get a little irritation if I forget to keep up my water intake but other than that I have been fine.
