So, I managed to get the tree decorated with Buddie lying under it. Yes, the minute the bottom section is standing, she plants herself right there. I suppose this is heaven to a dog (and cat), a tree in the house.
There she remained until I got the turkey out of the oven---for some reason the kitchen has her full attention now.

I finally got to meet my parents new troublemaker. What a bundle of energy. It's a yellow lab puppy named molly. She is just about the cutest thing ever, but she will chew your leg off if you give her two seconds.

I wait for as long as I can before putting up the tree. We have 6 cats now, and a Very active toddler. I think this year it's going to be a small tree on a table and some duct tape to keep it on there. lol We use plastic ornaments too. Gotta get creative for safe festivity. lol

With 6 cats and a toddler, I don't think duct tape will do the job. Unless you suspend the tree from the ceiling.

oh yeah, and the 4 dogs.... but cats are the WORST with xmas trees! They thing you just got them the coolest giant cat toy ever. lol the dogs just want to 'water' it for you. it takes some thinking to pull off a xmas tree at my house.

i can't even imagine having a tree with my cats. they like to play "king of the mountain"on the scratching post as it is.

Well Buddie has decided to take a disliking to my tree skirt.
I put it in place and she uses her nose to shove it against the wall in a bunch.
Makes me wonder what's going to happen when I start putting presents under it.
