This interests me as well. I love the concept of clearos. Unfortunately I vape Ecopure Rich most of the time and I've yet to find one that can keep up. Lately I've even considered switching to BWB Malty to see if the 30% pg in that juice would make a difference. Ecopure is an all VG base but its pretty well diluted. Its still too viscous for the clearos Ive tried.

I use the Phoenix bottom coil (CE3) clearomizers. They work just fine for me with pretty much any ratio of PG to VG. I personally prefer high VG, 70% or better, 100% if I can get it. I do have to clean them a lot more often with high VG content juice, it gunks up the coil pretty quickly. I think the bottom coil version works better for high VG since it doesn't have to wick up like a top coil.

Those were the next ones on my list to try. They are at gotvapes, right?

My own experiences are as follows, I use twists and KGO batteries.

Clearomizers used both, 2.4 and 1.8 with mixes of 70/30 PG/VG all good no problems at all, 60/40 I find more of a muted flavour but not always, 50/50 and I would rather use a tank as I find the flavor muted.

Most if not all my new clearos work better after a 1 day break in time. When needed I re wick them with cotton which I find makes a huge difference.

I have heard this as well gthmp (i.e., bottom coils). While I have had excellent luck with Kanger clearos, I saw some reviews on their bottom coils and they didn't make me feel warm and fuzzy. I'll have to look at those Phoenix. I saw those little Phoenix bottom coils for a pen style. I'm assuming you're referring to a larger one? How easy are they to clean?

putting a drop of DW in all the 100% vg juice i've used in my vivi nova has done wonders. without it it's like vaping an empty tank

Iam, I put two drops of distilled water in 2mL of 100% VG and all it did was toast my juice. It turned it dark and it tasted like crapola and didn't hit very well. In fact, I think I torched the coil or it needs a through cleaning as it is just not hitting well at all anymore.

The ones I use come in a 1.5 ml size and a 3.5 ml size. They're not hard to clean at all.

Thanks. I'll look them up. Meanwhile, I have a Kanger bottom coil coming tomorrow to try out. Had to place an order for other things so I thought I'd throw one of those on the order too. Thanks for the suggestion.

Kanger bottom coil gets good reviews.

I saw some of those reviews on the Kanger bottom coil. Looks like a royal pain to fill those up. Kanger makes some nice stuff and I've been using them. I hope I like this bottom coil. I looked at some of the Phoenix bottom coil reviews. Looks much easier to fill despite having to use a syringe. I can deal with that. Did I see that right...both the small one and large one can be used on an eGO Twist? Looked like the small one would also fit a 510 style batt.?

Yep. Along with the best customer service on the planet. :)

Be sure and watch the video about filling and cleaning. They're a different animal than a top coil.

Well, I give up on GotVapes. I'm interested in that Volt Karma kit they sell as a starter kit for my wife and neighbor. But I see nowhere on their site that they carry replacement baterries for it. So I go to the "Contact Us" page and they refer you to their helpdesk for email inquiries. That page hasn't worked since last night when I first tried it. Wont even load. No phone number and some standoffish paragraph about how to look at their forum on ECF. I'm like, WTF? No way of getting a hold of those people with a simple question.

They have 510 and 808 versions. I've never used an eGo so I don't know if you'd need an adapter or not. You could ask in the GotVapes supplier forum if you aren't sure.

The only (slight) downside I've had with them is you have to use a very small needle to fill them (I'm not sure what gauge it is, but it's really small, and if you use a big needle you'll mess up the seal), and with 100% VG you can barely get the juice into the syringe. I just use a bigger needle (20 gauge or bigger) to fill the syringe and then swap it out to the smaller one. It's really no big deal. Even the 20 gauge is a bit slow on the fill, I'm going to try a 15 or 16 next time I order something from someone that sells them.
