pg and vg questions

Hello, I am a new to the ecf (long time lurker) and had a few questions about pg/vg/nic juice.

Is there a major taste difference between usp pg/vg brands?

Does anyone have any suggestions regarding the best place to get pg/vg/nic juice as far as price and quality?

Lastly is it a good idea to get these things in a starter kit or to buy them all separatley?

I am considering trying to make my own juice and whenever I look for these items online I become lost and overwhelmed. Any answers/ general advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm fairly new at DIY, but my first and second (and soon to be third) purchase was (will be) from wizard labs.

I am amazed at what they spend on packaging. I ordered 250ml of VG and 250ml of PG in two separate orders (among other things) and both bottles were wrapped in bubble wrap and then triple bagged, each bag air-tight and sealed. I've never seen anything like it.

Since I am still a noob, I've ordered both PG and VG at 18ml/mg and just use that to mix. The price is insane compared to retail juice, so I am not worried about buying 100mg/ml juice and mixing with plain PG or VG (at least not yet).

Goodprophets has frequent sales, currently 120 ml of 36 mg/ml is $14, so you end up getting 309mg of nic per dollar. I've been using this for over a year, entirely happy with it. It is s high enough strength to make eliquid at up to 20%total flavoring at 29 mg/ml strength, which covers most cases.

Gp also has tpa flavorings at good prices, i user the tobacco blend alc as part of my all day vape.
