I'm new to this also but from what I've read its pretty much about personal preference combined with the equipment you are using and how it responds to the juice and favor you are using. You may not enjoy or respond well to a ratio that others find to work well. I would start with 50/50 and experiment from there.

+1 on the 50/50.
Good place to start.
Your delivery device plays a large roll in what juice works
best in that specific device.

Then of course there is (Flavor) (Throat Hit) (Vapor)
VG - Will produce the most Vapor.
PG - Will have better Flavor and Throat Hit.

As you can see above this is why most juices are some kind of mix of PG/VG
Giving you the best of both worlds.

Nic MG also plays a large roll in your Throat Hit.
This will be your new journey.
A journey into the world of eJuice.

Ask your vendor. Hey dude man bro what's the ratio in this juice.
This way you can know what you have.
Letting you experiment with other ratios so you can feel and taste the difference.

Hope that helped some.

I have never tried a VG blend to my knowledge, so I'm looking forward to a shipment I'm getting on Monday from ECBLend. From my reading I decided on some 70/30 PG blends in coffee flavors, and 50/50 in the fruit flavors. Will the 50/50s work well in a clearomizer? What is the best delivery vehicle for the VG blends?

i agree with birdman but in my experience my local shop doesnt custom make and its all 50/50 18mg so i had to spend alot of money ordering on the internet to find my sweet spot. Wish i had more local options but hopefully you do. I could never find a vendor that offered a sampler for not only flavors but different mixes as well, the nic is pretty easy to figure out what you like.

What is the best ratio of pg and vg to vape? I am currently vaping juice from vape lounge because the place where I buy my juice gets it from there. I like the juice that I have bought but I'm not sure about the ratio of pg and vg that is in it.

As others have said, it's personal preference. I settled at 50/50 myself. PG is known for "throat hit" (which isn't important to me personally) and many say it carries the flavor better (though I'm unsure about that one, high PG liquids don't taste all that good to me). VG is known for better vapor production (and I do like my vapor). Also, I find it to be... call it a "smoother" vape. Even when I smoked, I didn't care for "throat hit". I liked a "smooth" smoke as it were.

I have some 100% VG (Johnson Creek) but I'm kind of drifting away from them (if nothing else, they're kinda pricey... only thing of theirs I will likely buy in the future are two tobacco style juices, they do those pretty well). For me, more than half PG tastes wrong. Even bad. I don't know why. Splitting it down the middle seems a good compromise for myself.

Just try small bottles of different mixes. Or visit a vape shop where you can sample. You'll have to find your preferred mix. Nobody can tell you what you'll like ahead of time. :)

Almost all my juices are 50/50 and I'm using clearos, no problem. I even use 100% VG in clearos with not much trouble. They do need to be cleaned more often because VG "gunks" more but I don't have so much trouble as some seem to.

(Or maybe my standards are lower? Dunno.)

Though, I tell you, my few 100% VGs do seem better in cartos. But taste is awful subjective. Your mileage, vary, you know. :)

I used to smoke a slightly mild middle tar brand of cigarettes and when I got my first e-cig, I bought my first juice from my local general store. They only had a limited choice and it was all 70:30 PG:VG at 18mg. I found it had too much throat hit and didn't satisfy my nic craving, so after a bit of experimentation with juices bought online I settled on a 50:50 blend at 24mg. This has seemed to work well for me with most flavours, and any that seem a bit harsh I tend to add a little vanilla to, which makes them a lot smoother.
It took me about a month to find the right blend for me, and while doing so I continued to smoke analog cigs occasionally. Since then I've quit smoking altogether - with no cravings or weight gain
