I keep hearing conflicting information on this. I read something about it on Google and then the guy at the local vape shop says something different. Below is what I thought but please set me straight so I can order exactly what I want.

PG = hit
VG = flavor/cloud
Nic = fix :)

What I want in a juice is a little less hit, because I sub ohm drip, and more flavor and cloud. I was thinking about ordering 20/80 with 6mg of nicotine. Would I be right in this or do I need a different mix to get what I'm looking for? I was dripping 50/50 with 12mg nicotine when I was at 1+ ohms but its kicking my ... at sub ohm. I'm also wondering, will 20/80 be too little of a hit in a tank? Looking for a happy medium. Thanks for any help.

I am a no-nic vaper, and I love big fluffy clouds and lots of flavor, so when I first began ordering my juices, I originally ordered 30%PG 70%VG "extra flavor", but I just was not happy with my flavor intensity. Because PG also carries the flavor, I felt I needed to go to 50-50, and I feel like I get better flavors and my clouds are veeeery similar. If you DIY, you could really experiment with your percentages. I have vaped some nic flavors just to try them and IME, the throat hit is related to the individual flavor, the PG content *and* the Nic content.

Just amazing that this question (a good question, however) is still cropping up.

PG provides NO throat hit! If you vape straight PG only, you will get NO throat hit. Many of us did an experiment 4 years ago to reach that conclusion. What PG does is allow more of the throat hit from the nicotine to come through in comparison to VG. Nicotine provides 90%+ of the TH.

This makes a lot of sense. I think 20/80 with 12mg of nic will do me good, since I already use 12mg of nic in a 50/50. I want the same milligrams of nic but less throat hit, more cloud and more sweetness. So if I go 20 on PG, that should lessen the hit some since less PG should allow less hit from the nic through. Am I getting a grasp on this? Thanks for the info.
