pg to vg ratio

I smoke a 80pg to 20 vg ratio with 24mg of nic and its perfect for me however its to strong for my dad and he wants to start vaping. i plan on lowering the nic level to 16mg but Does anyone know what ratio of pg to vg i should use to lower the strength, or would that even help

Hello sdevore. I would say that a 70pg/30vg is a good ratio to retain the throat hit and still get plenty vapor.

Actually even better, try 50/50. I use 50/50 and it does a good job for me.

If 24mg nic is too strong for your Dad, 16-18mg will probably be a good starting place.

I use the e-juice me up calculator for all of my mixing.

The higher the VG, the more mute the flavor will become and softer the throat hit. Higher VG also puts more vapor out and more "hang time" of the vapor in the air. VG vapor doesn't dissipate as quickly as VG does. It's probably not so much the pg/vg ratio as it is the level of the nic. Try dropping it down to 8 or 10, and let him vape that. Nic has a huge impact on throat hit and harshness.

Nic is the biggest contributor to TH by far. PG helps but not much in comparrison. Drop the nic level to 10-12 mg, I prefer from 50/50 to 70/30. Anywhere in that range.

If you are using stuffing type cartos like Boge I would not use more than 30% VG. I find even 30% seems to degrade my cartos faster. For carts or dripping (on manual batteries only) 70pg/30vg or 50/50 for even smoother.
