PG tends to deliver more of a throat hit and is flavorless, letting the added flavors come through more.
VG is a little sweet on its own, but has a tendency to mute the added flavors a bit.
it produces more vapor than PG.
some people are sensitive to PG and cant use e-juice that has a high ratio of it, the most I can stand is about 60% PG

It's one of those many things that you have to find out what is best for you. VG is also much thicker than PG. So depending on your atomizer, the thicker VG juices may have difficulty wicking properly. I found that I prefer 80% VG. Though it took me lots of sampling to figure that out. I now mix my own juice so customizing is easy. 50/50 is a good place to start at, then go up and down the scale till you find your zone. Since there are so many different option in all things vape related, finding what works best for you is the hardest thing to determine.

Good answer from gofastman. I'll just add the following.

PG is thin, almost like water.
VG is thick like a cold corn syrup

Higher percentages of VG sometimes cause your wicks to run a little dryer when vaping, meaning you might get a few more 'scratchy' or dry hits.
Higher percentages of PG can sometimes mean you get too much liquid into the coil meaning you might get some gurgling or liquid in your air paths of your device.

Almost all ratios are expressed in PG/VG so an 80/20 will be 80% PG and 20% VG.

There is no right or wrong ratio though. If you are looking for throat-hit, go with maybe an 80/20 or a 65/35 and if you want more clouds, then try a 20/80 mix or something.

I have 2 favorite juices, one is a 100VG and the other I mix down to about 40/60 or 50/50, but you will find your own sweet spot.

I think one of the reasons people talk about Boba's Bounty so much is the fact that it produces huge, fluffy clouds of vapor. Im not sure the exact VG content, but its at least 90%
(the real stuff comes from AVE, not Alien Vision)

It's 100%VG that I know of. I don't particularly like the clouds, but I love the fact that the flavor changes from day to day, device to device, mood to mood.

That's one of my two favorites. Other is hawk sauce from MBV 50/50 blend.

Just a side note. VG does not "produce" TH it doesn't mellow it out like VG does. You can vape either PG or VG straight and get ZERO TH. So if you want to decrease TH in something you get you can add VG. But adding PG does not increase throat hit to something that doesn't have enough it will only dilute it further. The TH itself comes from the nic base and the flavorings.

I prefer a 50/50 ratio.
