I know that VG gives more vape and less flavor and PG gives more flavor less vape but other then that is there
any difference in using the two at 100% or a mix of the two?
I have been getting a bit of crap from my parents for using the PG juice which I find funny seeing as how I'm an adult.
They keep saying that PG is used in anti freeze but I have done a lot of reading and its nontoxic. So I don't understand why
people say its bad for you.

Oh yea and I'm moving from cigarettes to vaping and for some reason my throat gets a bit sore. Not sure why

At one time, the anti-freeze used in radiators was a similarly named chemical to propylene glycol (I don't recall the specific name) and if animals like cats or dogs drank the green sweet liquid they would likely end up dead.

This prompted the manufacturers of anti-freeze to switch to propylene glycol, which has the same anti-freeze properties but is non-toxic to animals or humans. So yes, Pg is indeed anti-freeze; just no longer the toxic type.

In fact, propylene glycol is used in many other products, including asthma inhalers.

A sore throat from vaping is likely due to the nicotine concentration in the e-liquid, and to a lesser degree the amount of Pg in the liquid. Both of them are responsible for the "throat hit". Try decreasing the amount of liquid nicotine in your e-liquid, or decrease the ratio of Pg.

One last thing. Both Pg and Vg can cause dry mouth/throat. Drink plenty of water.

I vape in public and it freaks out some people here in bumfart Nebraska. I have gotten the "antifreeze" speech 4 times in the last month and my favorite response is to tell them not to light the charcoal grill because charcoal is a major component in gunpowder. So if you light the grill you will explode. Right? About half the way through telling me about that charcoal alone is OK they usually get where I was going with it.
