I'm still new to vaping, and am wondering if someone can explain to me the differences between propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin in terms of vapor qualities. I understand that VG is more viscous, but that's about all that I know. What percentage(s) of each make a good mix? I'm looking for good flavor and a fair amount of vapor (not too much, but enough to make for a satisfying exhale).
I'm also interested in mixing my own liquids, and am looking for some good references.

Propylene glycol enhances flavor, glycerine enhances vapor production. I use a 70/30 PG/VG mix. The higher percentage PG mixes will penetrate cartomizer fillers and wicks faster and more thoroughly. Allergies to either are rare but PG allergies are more common. Everyone has a different idea about this but I think nicotine percentage and vapor temperature have more to do with throat hit than anything else.

My PG vs VG knowledge is very similar to your's, VPCx3, so I purchased two bottles of the same liquid - one 100% PG and one 100% VG. I plan on mixing them together to find the ratio that works for me. Perhaps that would be a good first-step for you to try?

That's a great idea, and I think I'm going to try it in the very near future. I'll post an update once I have.
I'm also in the process of checking out ECBlend; thanks peach1605.
