Hello,
I did post this in another category but was not getting many responses so I thought maybe I should try here.

I know there has been much written on these alternatives and I have read hundreds of pages but I still don't seem to really have an answer. There were two threads that were dealing with the breakdown of VG and PEG once vaped but those just seemed to stop months ago. So please bear with me it I have just not found the answers.

I think I am having a problem with PG. Not as severe as some but problems none the less. I also am not a big drinker of fluids (and probably never will be) so I do think it is dehydrating me as well as other things. I also understand that some symptoms are probably just withdrawal from the other chemicals in analogs. I am still smoking some by the way in order to stave off some of them.

Soooooo, just how bad is VG and PEG? I don't really want something that is going to be mutating my cells in a matter of months. I also already have sinus problems and have read that some people have more sever problems with at least VG. Is that common?

Any and all suggestions or comments on the pros and cons of VG and PEG would be welcome and appreciated.

If I decide to try either one of them, where are the best (as in purest ingredients etc) places to buy?

Also, since it seems that there are a number of people with PG problems, why don't more of them use VG or PEG? Is it just because it is thicker and harder on the atomizers? I actually use cartomizers.

Thanks in advance.

I just discovered I can not handle the pg, it took a few days to build up in my system and it caused me major leg cramps, and muscle pain. Along with super sensitive teeth and migranes. What are your symptoms?
Ecopure is the best VG you will find, I have no problems with it. check out cignot.com for this, the flavors are light but the rich is my favorite.
You can also get the krystal and try making your own juice using flavorings, I have found some non pg flavors at DIY flavorshak and Juicy Liquids. DIY flavorshak has the tobacco and menthol flavors in not pg flavors, while Juicy liquids has several fruity and others to choose from.

Thank you both for responding.

Paulys, I saw your other response as well and thanks again. I am glad to hear you are having no sinus issues.

Mentholgirl,
I have the same symptoms as you except the teeth. I have read that others have problems with their teeth as well. From reading, some of these problems will probably go away but I can't vape enough to give them time to go away because it is just to harsh. It doesn't matter if I suck on something or drink something. It feels like it is burning my throat out. Thank you for some suggestions as far as the healthiest places to buy VG. I bought some VG at the health food store and am going to cut some of my PG liquid to see it that helps. Hopefully I won't have to waste all of the liquid I bought.

Yea I wonder if the symptoms would go away also, but my leg pain was really harsh took two days for it to clear up, so I'm not gonna risk it anymore. It brought me too tears I don't think that is normal. I don't get the burning throat you speak of unless you mean a feeling like heartburn from the mid back up inside, I did get that. My favorite juice is PG and I can't vape it, so I'm looking for substitutes now.
Good luck trying to reduce yours if it works let me know

Hi Mentholgirl,
It did seem to help when I added some VG. I couldn't put in many drops as I hadn't vaped much of the juice out so I would think it would be even better with a little more.

A lot of toothpastes contain pg. However I have been using all natural toothpaste from the healthfood store for years. I went on vacation and forgot to take it with me and had to use one of my friend's extra small tubes. When I got home, my teeth hurt for days!
I've noticed the exact same feeling from pg in e-cigs. I had to switch to vg.

I've been vaping for about a year now, and I have used straight PG, straight VG, used PEG, and I now vape a PG and VG mix, I have never seen any extra feet growing out of my ankles at night. I have discovered I'm mildly allergic to straight PG. if I use straight PG for any length of time (weeks), I get little bumps on my tongue that hurt and annoy the hell outta me. but with that said, I haven't died.. yet. I have seen info that says PG and VG are dangerous, and I have seen info that said neither are dangerous. I've heard that PG is the same thing that is in radiator fluid, which is bull. anti-freeze (radiator fluid) is DI-ethylene glycol. VG can turn into acreolin, but I'm under the impression it won't work at the standard 1 atmosphere we all live at. now all that to say, who knows? there are no long term studies that I'm aware of.

JUst keep in mind,, PG and VG are food additives. If they were harmful, they wouldn't be in food. This is to go without talking about preservatives and saturated fats that can be bad for you =P.
