Ive been asking a lot of questions recently but this will be my last for a while, I hope! Im fixing to order some tobacco blend ejuice from Hurricane Vapor. They have a choice of PG/VG ratio when ordering... What is the most common, 50/50? I like a decent throat hit, being that Im just two weeks in, and down to a regular cig in the morning and one at night, that's 18 less than before ! :) However, don't want a sore throat either.... Suggestions before I order?

Like flavor, PG/VG ratio comes down to personal preference. It also factors in depending on what type atty you are using, tank systems in general do not perform well with high VG. VG is going to be your vapor production and the higher the VG the thicker the juice, while PG is going to carry the nic and flavor. If 60PG/40VG is an option, you may want to give that a shot first.

I personally think that certain types their best at different ratios. Custards and bakery stuff I like high VG it compliments the flavor. You can always add a couple drops of distilled water or saline to get it to wick in a tank. I have found that the tobacco and fruit flavors that really hit for me are inevitably higher PG.

My opinion only here: if they are letting you choose pg/vg levels it will just be an average quality juice. Nothing wrong with that at all. But could you imagine trying to order some 5 pawns and tell them what vg level you want?

Edit - too me throat hit is all about device and nic level.

Personally I just started with RDA and RTA's. I went from 18mg to 6 mg and use 50/50. have tried high vg yet but plan on it. I heard I would loose some of my flavor with higher vg.

I am using a Nautilus Mini so I keep with a higher PG vs VG to keep the coil from clogging up. I also stay away from dark/sweet juices as they gunk up the coils faster it seams. 60/40 seams to be a good balance for me. I did have a sore throat for the first 3-4 days, but I have read that is from stopping smoking cold turkey. What you feel is the damage from the smokes as cigarettes are loaded up with anesthesia to keep your throat and lungs from hurting. E Juice doesn't have this. The PG/VG is also an alcohol and will dry you out. Try to stay nice and hydrated until your body gets used to your new habit ;)

P.S. I use 18% Nicotine...

for me when i first started vaping, i never really got into the tobacco flavor i loved the fruity flavors, as far as throat being sore, thats a phase you'll have to go through it lasted me only a couple days if not a week, then all was well, and then theres the usual, lost of taste in your mouth which also lasted like a week for me, but all as far as VG/PG ratio, if you're using a mod I started with more VG/PG, usually they were around 70/30, and at 6mg *(probably the highest I will go on a mech)*
