PG/VG separation?

I got my first Kanger T3 this week and I'm in love. Felt it allowed to much air to draw through it at first but solved that problem by putting a 510-ego adapter on it. I'm vaping 70/30 PG/VG WTA from vapelicious. I tend to just refill once it gets low if I'm using the same flavour but I've noticed after a couple of tanks of doing this when it gets low again the remaining juice is not only darker (which I assume is burning) but substantially thicker. I'm wondering the PG is somehow seperating out of the mix and flowing into the atomizer more easily leaving mostly VG behind.

Is this right explanation or is the thickening something to do with the liquid in the tank being constantly heated?

Same thing happens to me on many juices. The flavoring gets caramalized and that turns it darker. I think that the PG atomizes better than the VG, so that makes it thicker. I dump out the thick stuff and give everything a good rinse.
