PG vs. Absolute vodka

Well got my first DIY stuff in today (60mg PG based nic juice and a bottle of regular PG no nic) I like a HEAVY TH and I thought that a pure PG base would be great but to my suprise I felt almost no TH at all. Hmmm so I thought I would try adding a little Absolute Vodka 80 proof to it and wow got a good TH.

I dont get it, I thought PG would give out the big TH. Am I miss led or am i doing something wrong?

Nic and watts are the sure ways to TH. PG helps.

If you are getting TH with some vodka, stick with it.

Alcohol has done nothing for my TH attempts, so it's nice to see it worked for someone.

Like Hoosier says, you could up the nicotine or vape with LR attys/cartos. Even higher voltage like 5v or higher (though don't use LR on that). PG doesn't really add TH by itself, but VG lessens it I think.

You could also try getting some QHIT (Flavour Art) or Throat Hit Plus (The Vapor Pro).

so is it not true that PG=TH and VG=Vapor. this is what I have read almost every where on this forum but I am not getting that with my mixes. I am still a noob and still learning so maybe I am missing something. Every thing I have ordered from Vape Shops has let me down on TH. The only thing I have gotten that I like is from Smoke Shops, and none of the smoke shop people can tell me what is in their mixes. They know alot about tobaco but nothing about e-juice or even the e-cigs that they are selling. I have sat down with a local cigar shop that wants to start carrying e-cig supplies and he asked me a ton of questions and I told him that Joye tech is the best way to go. Hopefuly he will do his research first and carry the products that are in demand.

PG produces no throat hit, at least, not for me. PG is thinner than VG, so the nicotine liquid and flavorings mix quicker and better with PG than when mixed with VG. I think that's why so many people have posted that PG is better for throat hits (without posting the details about why PG is better for throat hits).

Nicotine liquid is what produces throat hits -- and some flavorings contain certain ingredients that help to produce throat hits (providing you're using a battery that produces the necessary power to heat the liquid).

It is true that VG produces more vapor.

Well thanks for your help everyone! I do take everyones advice and I am still working to get just the right combo for me. ---
I know everyone has different tastes and what some people feel is a good TH, might not be for others. So far the PGA has boosted the TH closer to what I like. I used 80 proof vodka and will try using everclear later today. I will keep you all posted. I now know that pure PG mixes have little to no vapor, and not alot of TH. Sooo.... I am stepping up the VG for more vapor and PGA to up the TH.
