All,

I know all the differences in flavor, vapor and TH between PG and VG...

The question probably has been answered in this forum at some place but this place is so big I cannot find it...

Which is healthier and why ? Pg vs VG ?? any evidence to back it up ?

I am worried to have a traded a really bad habit to just a bad one...

Anyone knows ?

Thanks !

As far as I can tell, it's kind of a toss-up.

PG has been more thoroughly researched for the purposes of inhalation. There are inhaled and even vaporized medications that use PG as a base. But some people are allergic or sensitive to PG, whereas this seems to be mostly a non-issue with VG.

Which is safer? Well... hard to say. I think that of all the things in e-juice, the base (PG/VG) is probably the least concerning. The flavoring is much more unknown, in terms of how safe it is to inhale, and probably poses the most potential risk over the long term. How much risk? No one really knows. E-cigs haven't been around long enough. Most educated guesses are that it's probably a lot better than cigs, though. Nicotine is a mild vasoconstrictor. In small, regulated doses it's not particularly dangerous, but it does put a little strain on your heart over time - just like caffeine does. Nicotine in regulated doses is low-risk, but not as low risk as, well, no nicotine.

vaping is certainly not "healthy," and no one who knows anything about it and is honest has ever said otherwise. The ideal situation is that you wouldn't be inhaling anything but air into your lungs.

What vaping is, is harm reduction. It is less dangerous than smoking, almost certainly. But it's not necessarily healthy, and nor is it completely safe.
