Will cutting my present mix (PG/VG 85%/15%) with pure grain alcohol lessen my throat hit? (Early morning are the slowest to enjoy the full vape.) I have found VG at 35% hard on my lungs. Been vaping for over 1.5 years with no tobacco use.
Any input is appreciated. (Just to lazy to search the forum and would rather have this question asked within the "New Member" section of the forum.

Pga added will actually increase the Throat Hit of your eliquid not diminish it. Also you didn't indicate a Nicotine level - 18mg? - 12mg?

The only way I know of to lighten the TH is more VG but you have already indicated that 35% vg causes problems for you. Perhaps you might try it again in smaller increments, like 80/20 or 75/25 to see if it has the same results. And you could also try lowering your nicotine level.

Is this a new juice for you? A new pg/vg ratio? PGA is going to increase throat hit. If the suggestions by others more knowledgeable in this thread do not work I would suggest going over to the DIY Liquids forum and asking some people there. They are very helpful.

Also, some attys and builds can deliver a harsher vape experience.

I would also like to know what you have been vaping successfully for the past 1.5 years. Have you changed equipment?

What is the nicotine concentration of your liquid? Nicotine concentration is the biggest determining factor for "throat hit". Skip down a level or two if necessary. (Ie: If you are at 12%, drop down to 6 % nicotine).

Propylene glycol (Pg) is the second determining factor for throat hit. I find it hard to believe that adding just a little vegetable glycerin (Vg) to your e-liquid will cause "heavy lungs". You can buy this at Walmart in the pharmacy section.

I realize you can't post in the DIY forum yet, until you give 5 posts in this section, but that is easy to do.
Agree with others about PGA and amount of PG impacting your throat hit. I use Vodka in my berry mixes, but at an extremely low precent, .5% or less, just add a little "pop."
Read through the DIY section; there are many excellent threads that provide percentages and recommendations for mixing.

Good luck and enjoy!
