Am finally able to pop in and thank you very much Fono much and hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I was spending the night at mom's the past few nights (but was close enough to home to check for mail) and I received my unit yesterday (along with the AW batts that I got from Lighthound delivered the same day). I retrieved it and opened the box to marvel at a beautifully handcrafted and luscious wood unit!!! Even showed this to my mom and she was impressed (she is 80 yo and a 60+ yr current smoker). I didn't get chance to actually try it out until today as I wanted to read all the recommendations for priming/using it and I needed to charge the batts most of yesterday.

The unit feels comfortable in either hand and the fire button is solid and smooth. I softened up the bottle before filling and mixed up a combo that I have been vaping in my rotation the past couple weeks (BWB's Dulce De Leche + FSUSA's CoffeeX).... and have the unit feeding a (seasoned) Joye LR 510.

The feed button has functioned admirably so far and as a result, this thing is definitely a fog machine! The vapor warmth is comparable to when I use my VVs in the 4.5 - 5 range and if I recall correctly from this thread, this unit as designed tends to run attys hotter, so I can see where I am gonna be blowing through some juice!!

Sure long neck beer bottle rules apply, however once you've a loaded feed tube any pressure will feed what's in it...

and forgiving the generality, most vaping action truly takes place from a feed friendly attitude of inclination...

Sweet! I love it when I see people get phidiased That juice sounds good too? I have not tried BWB juices yet...I am diy'ing now, and an FSUSA customer.

Of all the places that I have juice from, the largest number of items by far are from FSUSA, with Tasty Vapor and Halo coming in a close 2nd. Am slowly building up my BWB stash.

I did in fact blow through the 3 ml bottle of my mix (ratio of 2 Dulce: 1 CoffeeX). I decided to drop down to a regular 510 atty with this mix on my Phiddy (<--- lol @ my nickname for it) and that worked out great. That 18650 is really pretty powerful batt and I'm on a full day 2 with the same batt and it has still been going strong (although I have done some intermittent hits of Halo Truepure dripped on a LR on a Riva). I am definitely phidiased right now though! LOL

I want to soften up the bottle a bit more and refill. I need to make a bigger premixed batch of the Dulce + CoffeeX (maybe 10 mls worth) to use to fill the little bottle. This vape mix has been a great morning vape while having my coffee. I also have mixed the CoffeeX with FSUSA's Vienna Cream to get an almost identical taste although I have found BWB's Dulce to be a tad bit sweeter and I am drawn to that.

Definitely give BWB a try though. The fruit flavors are amazing and I am steeping some of the tobacco flavors before I try them. I am waiting for Don to get some Malty and Malty Toffee back in stock so I can try those for the first time, plus I need to get some more Dulce De Leche!

I'm amazed that some folks get way over a full day with their Phidias. Between 1 Phidias and 1 Reo Grand I have to recharge every 2/3 day. (2 charges 1 day then 1 the next). Do I vape that much more than other folks? I use between 6ml and 10 a day.

6-10ml! That's like non stop.... I normally go through 3-4... once in a rare while I might get 5....

I like to buy from good juice vendors that offer extra flavor boosting; then i can sneak in some Vg or something to extend it...to save some $; man buying juice is getting to be like the cost of attys....
my scheme is to buy with flavor boosted, extra high nic levels, then extend em.

I'll eventually get into DIY but for now, I am finding "must have" flavors... then finding how to make them myself will come later.

I've done that a few times too. It really cuts the cost of buying pre-mixed! I've just started DIY, but I can't say I love all my flavors 8-o. I like to shop the classifieds for DIY, sometimes there are great deals!

Wow! I keep my 2 Phidias and at least 2 REO mods on my desk all day at work - each with different juices - and hit them pretty hard, and I've never managed to use more than 3ml a day.

I usually have the two Reos going, one Roughstak for dripping, and an Ego or 4081 with cart; usually three or four flavors. 3 ml is my minimum but 6 ml is not unusual and occasionally more than 6. Depends on how much I'm sitting down. Rehomed purple Woodie Reo on its way and hoping to see Lacewood soon. With my cranky, sensitive, small old hands I'm really looking forward to the Reo Woodie and Phidias as the metal is a bit hard on my hands for too long. Woodie will be for regular, everyday while working and Lacewood when I want a dainty pretty look (okay, I know it is not small, but large and gorgeous can be dainty too), especially when I'm not in grubby clothes. That's usually when I'm sitting, not out working with the animals and their messes, so I'll also be able to admire it even more and give it the attention and adoration it and its maker deserve.

I've started ordering flavors with extra flavor to cut down, too, but some I'm liking the extra flavor as is. Also, doing a few with extra nic to cut down. Ordered some, just lately, repeat juices I like, down from 24 to 18 just because it is so easy and fast.

I've been having a HECK of a time trying to figure out vaping at 3.7 volts because all my juices are tasting awful and killing my throat.

Been using a SR510 atty. Are you saying I just need to use a HR510? I've read conflicting opinions about using a HR on 3.7 devices on this thread: HR 510 Atty's on a 3.7v Device

If I can't figure out how to get good flavor and not kill my throat with a 3.7, I'm gonna be stuck with my cruddy e-cig.

why would you use a HVatty on a 3.7v device? just use a standard or LR atty at 3.7v. Fo I got a big batch of attys coming soon, LR and HV. you should really try the 801 from iken. I got a mod made with a 801 connection just to run those. Almost done with the phidias 101 video for new owners. should be up soon, if the kid ever gives daddy enough time . jus got a shipment from AVE and Liquidxpress so I am all set on juice. ukeman what did you think of the HFC? did you like it?

Nice huh? Now you know what I've been talking about... I believe that was a 3.5 ohm DSE (SLB) 510 atty... careful- it pops easily- the Ikenvapes are even better and have better draw. My thinking is that the longer coil makes for more even heat distribution... I also sent you cut tubes that fit RCR123a's to keep batteries lined up nicely (makes the 2 stacked 16340's fit like 1 18650)....

Yes, if you feel it's too hot and cannot taste the goodness---go higher resistance.

Also take control of your vape---I mean don't just press the button down and vape till it hurts---

be sure your atty is fed---then just a little blast of heat--1 second press or even less...

You have the ultimate control of your fire button...

@Warsawnan- FriendofAtlas had the same issue last week. I'm willing to bet 99% sure your atty isn't wet enough- either your bottle needs to be broken in more or you just aren't letting gravity do its thing.... see earlier posts from last week about pre-feeding your atty, checking the drip rate with the atty off and breaking in your bottle ...
