Phoenix atty/Vision Spinner issues

I just bought the Phoenix Bully Rebuildable Atomizer w/ Extra Coil and Wick [gv-BullyAtomizer] - $14.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more Phoenix Bully Rebuildable Atomizer, and the VISION Spinner Variable Voltage eGo 3.3-4.8 1300mah - PURPLE [gv-VisionSpinner1300mah-PURPLE] - $29.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more Vision Spinner VV battery, both from gotvapes.com. I have my Smoktech Ego 900mAh batteries, and the Phoenix works fine on those, but when I try to use it on the Spinner, the fire button just flashes, and nothing happens. If I don't screw it all the way down, and I get it just right, I can get a short hit off of it before it starts flashing again, but it's a real pain in the .... trying to get it to work. Has anyone else had this happen? Also, I'm wondering if I get a 510 to 510 adapter to use with it, will that work? Any advice you can offer would be great! Thanks in advance!!!!!

try to put something between the spiner (on top of the walls of the ego connection) that insulates it therefore preventing a short by touching the phoenix.

just pry up the centre post of the battery slightly and you should be good to go

So... would a 510-510 connector work?

i am not sure if it touches the bottom of the atty like your spinner then i think you will have the same issue.
