Sitting down, facing forward.
I hope the FDA listens to it! Over regulation is a problem for many industries that have been established for years. Over regulating the e-cig industry, a relative fledgling industry, would be a crippling blow to all of us, both consumers and suppliers. Over-reach by government in ANY area is just a bad thing that should not be tolerated by anyone, no matter what their political affiliation may be.

I somewhat agree with this, I think the FDA should be involved. NO WAY should this be affiliated with the tobacco act, if we look back on the "Imposed" taxes related to the Tobacco Act, we could end up paying dearly for an alternative to tobacco. They could use us to compensate for the loss in tax revenue and to boost even more revenue. I am new to this, but it looks like this is not a new thing, I would hate to see the bureaucrats ruin an industry that is providing viable alternatives for the sake of taxes to supplement our governments waste.

This is what I'm afraid of too; crazy taxation and bans on anything by prefilled cartomizers sold at 7-11. I think those are the two things guaranteed to kill the industry. I think all we really need is regulation on battery kits (I don't see it being practical to regulate mods) to make sure everything is short protected and isn't going to explode, and making sure there's no crazy chemicals in eliquid. Unfortunately it's very easy to imagine any kind of eliquid regulations killing off tons of vendors. Who knows how long it would take to get approval for an FDA license to sell liquid, and how much is that going to cost? I think it's pretty much unavoidable that prices are going to go up, whether taxes are imposed or not (and they probably will be).

The FDA does know what e-cigs are but they simply do not want to accept facts like that. It's a COMPANY (managed by otherpharmaceutical companies) and is simply a killing machine. Just like other deseases like cancer etc it's NOT profitable to help people live longer. More deaths, more drugs is good for business.
I'm surprised you citizens of this country can sleep well at nights while this is going on.
