I've been working at a Meijer store for about 3 weeks now (Cashier) and I was working the self checkouts tonight, two different sets of self checkouts are side by side; Express (12 items or less) and regular with no limit- this requires two operators. I was on the no limit, and another new cashier was on the express lanes. We casually chatted off and on, then I had my break (went out to my car for a vape of course) and after I got back, he went on his break (also went outside). I noticed after he had come back in the lack of dirty ashtray smell, and being in the 30's here, really no other reason to go outside but to smoke or vape. This kind of caught my interest, so over the next couple hours I noticed a familiar shaped bump in his pants pocket (could have been a pack of cigs, but no, looked like a tank on top) and just before I left, I commented that I wished people wouldn't smoke right outside the doors, it all blows inside and stinks. He replied that at least his smelled like apples and deliciousness and not ash and tar.. Bingo.. Another vaper! I said yep, mine too! Didn't really have much of a chance to ask what device he was using or how long he'd been vaping, but still cool. I'm sure we'll run into each other again and then I'll ask a few questions! I wish more of the smokers at work would vape, they all smell like dirty ashtrays! I know we have at least 3 vapers, one I haven't actually talked to though.
Picked out another vaper at work today!

The last vaper I knew at work was fired for smoking in the bathroom.

I wouldn't try smoking in the bathroom but I think you could almost get away with murder where I work... Employees aren't supposed to smoke in front of the store, but last week I saw someone walk out the door with a ciggy in her mouth, and as soon as her foot hit the pavement it was lit, then went directly to the left of the door and puffed away.... No one said a word. I go to my car to vape or at least around the end of the building if it's not too cold or windy. If it got cold or nasty enough I'd probably vape in the bathroom though.... I see things done every day that are specifically against company policy and nobody bats an eye. No one told me I couldn't vape inside but I go outside out of respect for others.
I guess I'm lucky. I'm allowed to vape in my office. There is an almost constant light fog drifting out the door. 
Dude (<--- use this word sparingly but think it's appropriate for this question), what on God's green earth are you doing staring at another mans pants pockets for hours?
I spend a lot of time driving around downtown Denver (job is driving) with clouds of strawberry cream rolling out the windows and I love seeing other vapers walking the streets or in cars around me. We make that awkward eye contact, do a cheers sort of thing, take a puff, then carry on haha

Where I work there are a lot of younger guys that vape...shocks them when this 43 yr old can talk to them and know what they are talking about...they keep wanting me to subohm though and I didn't like it! LOL
