So I really wanted to get another mechanical in my arsenal, this time a parallel box mod. I picked up a dimitri vapor king clone. The mod is beautiful and seems to be well crafted. BUT (this is a big old but) the switch came all messed up and the locking mechanism did not work at all. While playing with the switch the mod started firing by itself. Upon further inspection it was assembled wrong and was easily fixed by just reassembling the switch propperly. Now I'm happy as can be but sad in expierenced vapors can hurt themselves with this.

Eh, coulda been far worse.

I've heard mixed reviews about the Dimitri clones. The authentics are/were like 300 bucks and limited run, so it was inevitable there would be a few manufacturers producing clones. Manufacturer-pending, the clones are either gonna be on par or worse than the original.

It's definitely hit or miss.
The Ivogo Dimitri clone was reviewed side by side with the original and it was better made and performed better.

i've had the exact same experience with 2 out of my 3 dimitri clones. on both i had to use some purple loc-tite on the assembly screw because no matter how tight i got it, it would be too tight or back itself out every time i unlocked the switch >=-] to echo bad ninja, the one that didn't need a thing was an ivogo

Good thing I didn't review it, my ivogo Dimitri was utter ..... The pin on the 510 assembly was loose, gave me constant issues of backing out, and the buss bar was not secure on the screw so the connection was weak, leading to a weak vape. It got shelved.

Now just think of you shelled out a couple hundred bucks for it.

Mine came with a spare bus bar.

My reaction would have been neither calm, nor pretty. The 150 I spent on my Mizrah however was well worth. My only issue with it is cosmetic. Everything else works well, and best of all, no tools required.

With that being said. Does anyone have any recommendations on a parallel unregulated box mod that dosent break the bank? But also won't fire in my pants lol

If you plan on carrying a dual 18650 box mod in your pants, maybe you should check out some regulated devices.

I'm not aware of any dual 18650 mechanicals that were designed with pocket carry in mind.

Beyond that, the Nikita has a recessed magnetic side fire button.

Meh I got dna200, provaries, mvps, multiple joytech chip devices. Was looking for something unregulated. I'll just have to be careful. There's something that just feels good about using a mechanical mod> a regulated one.

Oh I agree.
I vape almost exclusively on mechanical devices, and have about 80 of them.
I never have user related problems with them.
I also know better than to put one in my pocket.

Like Ninja previously stated, then the nikita clone, no doubt... Also, I can recommend my abaddon aluminum clone with copper internals from FC. I just btw tested it, and it have 0.08v drop on 1ohm and 0.14v drop on 0.5ohm, both after 5 tests the most consistent and with old abused 25r's... I haven't even cleaned it internally for 2 weeks! It's 18 bucks at FC here: focalecig.com - Abaddon Style Dual 18650 Box Mod - Silver

It has a lock, but as stated, it's not recommended to carry mech boxes in your pants pockets...
