Hello all, trying to help my brother drop analogs and got him to try my device and he loves it. I am picking one up for him and decided to go with the itaste vv v3 due to the size. My question is, what tank should i pick up for him. Should i go with the iclear 16's or kanger mini? Misthub has a starter set containing 5x iclear 16's for 39.99, while 101vape has just the itaste vv v3 for $25.99. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

I bought the iTasteVV with 5 iClears.
3 of the 5 are still in the wrapper.
Instead, I use mini Protanks or even T3S (Kanger).
Best price (UK) for the "express kit" (battery and charger) is about $33. If you can get it for less.... GET IT!

I, personally, am very satisfied with the ProTank2 Mini. Easy to fill, clean and use. If you get into it, they are easy to rebuild also.
Good choice on the vv 3 - that's my new-comer recommendation also.
Be sure to emphasize the need to watch the charge level, and that it has 'pass-through' capability (use it while on the charging cord)
I suspect once he becomes more confident that vaping is going to "work" for him, he'll be looking to add another (or an MVP) for the backup
I use my protank 2 mini all the time and really like it - but - I find I have to refill at least once a day.
The i16's a nice tank, and top-filling is pretty intuitive. But replacing the coil / wick could be just a wee-bit tricky for a new user.
I don't think you'd go wrong with either choice...

They are OK, and some people like them (I can see the attraction) but I wouldn't rush to buy a kit with 5 in (not unless it's a bargain)..
I'd say Protank II all the way. Heads are cheap and rebuildable if you want even cheaper. Or to even learn to rebuild and wick with, since if you destroy one or two, it's not that big a deal.

I use a vv 3.0 (newbie as well), and I use the small Kanger tanks.
The girl at the local store is very helpful and got me started out with EVOD2s. When I found that I liked some of the citrus flavors, she turned me on to the EVOD Glass and mini Protank III. They all use the same coil, perform very similarly, and are really inexpensive, so it wasn't a big deal expanding the collection so I could keep several flavors loaded at a time.
It's been a really great set-up - performs well and isn't too difficult to keep running reliably.

Thanks for the info guys. I am gonna go with the kanger mini pro-tank. However, should i pick up the II or or III, 101vape has the III for $8.99 currently. If the II is better where could i pick up more relatively cheap, US here. Thanks.

I too would vote for a BCC type (ProTank, EVOD, H2, something like that). I thought the iclear16's were OK (hate the iclear30's) but for me the BCC's just work much better.

Another vote for Protank2 mini ! I used this combo for a while and was really happy with it. I'd also recommend getting a few decent disposable atomizers so he can taste test lots of stuff.
Real quick note, you can use Protank 2 heads on the Protank 3. (Not the other way around.) I went to this because the 2 heads are easier to rebuild and cheaper.
Help please-I have a pro tank 3 and bought an air flow control device, I have all these heads here, some that I bought with protank 3 some that I bought with an Evod and some that I bought when I bought the air control thing. Here wwe are week later and all I have is these foil packets (yes I threw away the boxes) I do not know what is what. They look almost the same but not exactly.
I actually don't know anything about the evod, but, if it fits, it should work. That said, the reason the 3 doesn't fit in the 2 is because the center airflow tube is too long.
SO, if it slips in easily and you don't have to push anything, it should work. In other words, hold them up side by side. The longer center tube should be the 3. That is if it's the same relationship.
Generally though, if you're using regulated mods (most of which have a resistance checker in them now) and everything fits together, you're not going to break something. It might flood horribly if it's too small or too short, but that's just a nuisance.
Most of this stuff is really, really simple. As long as you don't force anything and aren't using mechs, they seem to all be very resistant to actual damage.

Well flooding everything is the problem. I get really frustrated because I can not remember what is what and rebuild a coil (not an easy feat for me) set it all up and blahhh juice all over me and my device. I am not so much worried about damage, just the nuisance of wasting juice and making a mess.
The PT 3 coils are tiny and do not really have a chimney. Not the ones that came with my Protank 3 anyway.

Found some Kanger Evod 2 Glass at DesertVapes at $4.95 a pop. Bought 3 of them to test new flavors. Been vaping on them for a couple of days now, like them so far, and you can't beat the price.
Others that I own:
Kanger MT3's (plastic, came with starter kit, work good so far)
Innokin iClear X.I (good)
Kanger Mini Protank 3 (great, but have to refill every day)
Kanger Protank 3 (my favorite so far)

I have bought a new itazte VV3 from 101vape recently. 101vape has a great sale going on should still be going on. I picked up a VV3 for under 30$ including shipping. I got it pretty fast in the mail also. I have 4 of them with regular Kanger tanks and Davide tanks I have used them with both sizes. The VV3 has a serial number that can be checked on the website.

I think that is just the lighting that makes it look like more wicking material. It looks to me like the Protank 3's have a taller -not sure what that area is called-the part that houses the wick and also a taller rubber thing-
I don't have any Protank 3's, but I do have Evods. Here are pictures from the Kanger site. I hope I do this right and I hope they help.
