So, I love certain kinds of tobacco vapes and despise others. My experience with tobacco vapes is fairly limited I would say, and I want to expand my horizons (but can't afford to try them all).

Now, the tobaccos I love the best are the rich, sweeter ones like VR and some of Prime vaping. VR is my favorite vendor and I'm in love with the Kentucky line, but...

I think I'm looking for something a little less sweet to mix it up, but can't stand the dry, ashtray-tasting tobacco flavors (just my opinion on them, not knocking those who like pure tobacco flavors).

Now, when I first got BWB RY4, I pretty much hated it because of the musty, cigarette taste it has (as opposed to Prime vaping's PV4 sweetness), but it grew on me and now I love the mustiness because it helps change things up for me.

So, my question is: what other tobacco flavors/hybrids have that mustiness and some sweetness as well? I can't do straight up musty and can't do ashtray at all. The only flavor I've had that I can compare the ashtray flavor to is Nitelite U.S. Marshall. I'm not knocking Nitelite at all (Bounty Hunter is one of my go-to's), or anyone who loves U.S. Marshall, but to me it tastes exactly like if I were licking a dirty ashtray. I ordered it because people said it tastes exactly how a pack of freshly-opened Reds smell--to me, it tasted nothing like that.

Some suggestions I would like are: other BWB flavors that have a nice balance of mustiness/sweetness. I was thinking maybe the Maple Tobacco, Hazelnut Tobacco, Honey Flue Nut, or possibly Virginia, though I'm not sure if that would be sweet enough or not from reviews I've read. I've had the Cherry Tobacco, Applewood, and Mellonbacco. I love them all, but I'm looking for a more pronounced tobacco flavor.

I've also heard that Vaperite's tobaccos lean toward the sweeter side and was thinking of trying a sampler from them. Any Vaperite suggestions for me?

Basically, I'm looking for tobaccos that have both the sweet and musty/pungent flavors balanced the way that BWB RY4 is. The sweetness doesn't have to be RY4ish vanilla/caramel sweetness; any kind of sweetness will do. I like nutty flavors as well, if that helps. Sorry for the lengthiness of this. I tend to ramble.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I found that I needed to stick with one tobacco flavor for at least a month till I could acquire a taste for it. Don't expect them to taste good when first vaping them. You will continue to be disappointed.

What about bwb's maple tobacco? I've heard its tobaccoy with some sweetness. And any suggestions from vaperite? As far as getting used to it, that worked with bwb ry4, bit it won't work with anything similar to us marshall. Anything that tastes like that will just be offensive to my taste buds.

Thanks
Dave

Hate to sound like a fan boy, but Halo's Prime 15 is the best tobacco flavor I've ever had. It's been my all day vape for a couple of months now. You should REALLY get a small bottle of this stuff, and give it a whirl. Some of their flavors turned me off from Halo for a while. But imo, Prime 15 is a WIN.

Good luck!

Any others from Vaperite?
Well, they may not be musty enough for you, but any tobacco fan should try their Organic and Perique extracted tobacco. Big, round and juicy. To create more of an analog taste I cut those in half with pg then add 10-20% of their Burley (I believe that's a FA mix). The Burley by itself may be what you are looking for, it has an edge to it similar to real cigs.

Want2Vape has a couple I like that has that same edge, they advertise them as cigar flavors but they maybe what you are looking for. The Alcazar in particular has just a hint of sweetness with a great tobacco edge. The Managua is a bit darker, more complex.

Hmmm, big, round and juicy sounds delicious as well; and that's just the way I like my... well, I won't mention it for modesty's sake

As far as the analog edge, the one thing I'm not looking for is that ashtray taste that some analog flavors have. That's the best way I can describe it. The only straight up tobacco flavor I've tried is US Marshall from Nitelite. I'm a huge Bounty Hunter fan, but that stuff just tastes like licking the bottom of an ashtray. Is the analog flavor of Burley more of a musty tobacco flavor, or is it really bitter, ashtray tasting? I want to try a tobacco with an edge, but not that kind of edge.

I am rotating through want2vapes blondie, alcazar, ry4 and 555.5 as I type. If you ever had the acid cigar that blondie is named after you will like that, a unique spicy tobacco taste. The 555.5 has a light tobacco taste with a nutty taste and something I cant place, but I like it. The RY4 is slightly tobacco-y with what taste like a mild coffee taste? I cant really place it but I like that as well. The alcazar is ok, Im still trying to place what I think it taste like, a medium cigar maybe? Sorry to sound like a fan boy, but I just got the 10 sample pack in the mail yesterday and I love every flavor I got. I have AVE Boba's Bounty and Gorilla Juice on its way in the mail, and I cant wait to try those.

Is the analog flavor of Burley more of a musty tobacco flavor, or is it really bitter, ashtray tasting?
This is where we get into subjectivity. Musty to me is the smell of a book that has been stored in a damp attic. The Burley has a bite to it that some might call bitter, but (to me) it in no way tastes like an ashtray. The Alcazar from want2vape has a similar taste, but not nearly as aggressive.

Vaperite has a 3 pack sampler of tobacco flavors that's pretty reasonable. Want2vapes sampler is more expensive, but you get 10 flavors (excluding the Vapenstein mixes).

Yes! I agree with this analogy completely. I have had the BWB RY4, and did not get a "musty" vibe from it at all, but a pungent, almost bitter taste. The smell of a book kept in a damp attic is spot on for the definition of musty, IMO and and I did not get that at all from BWB RY4. I'd swear there was some eucalyptis (sp?) in Don's RY4. It was PERFECT to me and I am DYING to get some more of it, so I understand where bumblebees is coming from. So who sells this Burley? I may have to give it a whirl.

Yeah, pungent definitely works too. The first thing that came to my mind was musty; I guess I don't see that as a negative thing since I love the smell of old books

Thanks guys! I'll look into both of those. Any others from Vaperite? What about Frisco from Vapor Station? That one seemed interesting to me... and possibly Tampa and Texas as well. Also, are the tobaccos from Vapor Station naturally-extracted? That's pretty important to me.

Frisco is a tobacco with hazelnut (to me) flavoring.
These are analog-tasting and not sweet at all.
They are made with tobacco extracts but are not "naturally extracted".

The 'musty' tobacco taste sounds like "Turkish" flavor. AVE's Kamel has a bit of that. Dekang Turkish Blend has a buttload of it.

I suggest going ahead with a purchase of Boba's Bounty because I've found it very useful for blending with sub-par tobacco juices to make them more palatable. Sounds like you have a few of those sitting around.
