By going lower ohms your not getting the same , more powerful fesults like you would from a mech. Figure out your amp limit then use ohms law to find the best combination of ohms n watts . Your always limited by your amps.

No fancy mods here, I've just made the switch to vaping and just have the basic starter kit I got from the local vape shop (Vape Game in Springfield, OR):

KangerTech EVOD VV 650 mAh variable-voltage battery
KangerTech EVOD2 clearomizer with 1.5ohm dual-coil atomizer head and 510 drip tip
unbranded USB charger
15ml bottle of in-house brand e-liquid (I chose "Base Nectar Menthol" in 6mg/ml)

...and a silicone tasting tip . No carry case or anything, which was disappointing since I've seen them included in most other "starter kits" I've looked at. Normally they want $45 for the kit, but they were having a sale that day so it was $3 off. I also picked up a pack 5-pack of replacement atomizer heads for $13 (these are 1.8 ohms, even though the one that came in the clearomizer says 1.5?) And got $20 off the whole thing with a Groupon (which I paid $10 for in the first place) so in the end, I still paid that same $45 that they wanted initially, and basically got the replacement heads "for free" with the two discounts. Is this a decent rig for what I paid, or did I get taken for a ride?

Do not worry, later when the hook is fully set, you will spend a lot more.

You will get bigger clouds and a more satisfying vape if you keep your ohm's between 1.0 and 1.5. Those types of mods are designed to deliver high voltage, which in turn allows you to run above 1 ohm satisfactory. Its the same on a DNA, if you sub ohm on one of those its a very crappy vape. If you have a high wattage mod like the ipv's or the segelei box mods, they can handle the current required from sub ohm coils. But its good to experiment and learn building different coils.

The Gandalf in the 4th picture - is that one of the large 26650 ones on ePipe Mods from a couple of weeks back? I was debating picking up one but the one I wanted was gone when I finally made up my mind on it. If that is one, I will have to be on my game the next time I see one I like!

Just a plain old 18500. A 26650 is on my 'list of things to get' though!
