PIF idea: chat room

I had an idea based on VB. They have a chat room. People can bounce in and have real time conversations. PIF seems to have a lot of people 'hanging around' throughout the day.

I thought a chat room for PIF would be cool. Sort of like the chit chat thread but real time.

Anyone else like the idea?

Anyone have an idea on how to start one that is easily accessible for the group? (Maybe a job for the nerd/geek thread LOL)

Well, i guess it was a good idea LOL. We should get a group event sometime. Give like a week notice and see how many we can get in there at once.

Now there is an idea. Have everyone in the room on XX/XX date at XX:XX time. Every name can be assigned a number and the winner gets a prize. Now that would be fun. I am in.

We still have an xat chat room we used to used for the mobsters app on myspace....those rooms work pretty well.....Id be willing to use that one, or get another for pif purpose. Its fun when you get 20 ppl in a room chatting.

actually r3d, the ECF chat is IRC. i don't know if they have a link for it direct as part of the forums yet but they should have it in help in feedback in the aftermath thread

I have exactly 3 times - 1'ce via the link, the 2nd time w/ mIRC to make sure and the 3rd time when i wanted my account back because of the upgrade

yea... ecf's irc chat is boring as hell both times I was in there. the chatango link works fine as only pif'ers use it.

on 1 note rbot doesn't seem to have yery strictflood controls according to the popups i used to remember what they were...lol
