thanks guys, now I don't know what I am looking for :) I saw something on the classifieds a while back, looked like a regular multimeter, but had a thing on it you could screw the atty into. husband has been (grumpily) checking my attys for me, but I was hoping for an easy something I could do...he doesn't love me using his tools ! I guess he's afraid I'll break something

I still use ego's and the slim joye 510s - so I know I am supposed to meter attys and maybe the batteries too.

thanks again - let me know any other ideas you might have!

Are you wanting to know the voltage that your battery is putting out, or the voltage under a load, or the resistance of your attys?

Aha. Does it go between the atty and battery so that both are hooked up at the same time? If so, and it has a display, it's a voltmeter that can measure the battery voltage (without atty attached) and the battery voltage under load (with the atty attached). I have seen them for sale before, but not for a long while--most are homemade.

If it is like an extension tube with leads coming out what it could measure is dependent on how it's made, and all of them I've seen were homemade.

If all you're doing is wanting to meter your equipment without using the hubby's tools, I would suggest Walmart, Lowe's or Harbour Freight and just get a $7 - $10 multimeter. It'll be your cheapest option, it will be more versatile than any of the "screw-in" options, and it is (in my opinion) easier to use. Several vendors carry them as well, so you can just add one to an order if you don't want to go out shopping...

the one I saw was a multimeter with a little box or something attached to the side where you screwed on the atty. I will take your advice and just go get my own multimeter and watch the classifieds to see if one ever comes back up there :)

thanks

Yes, that was homemade. I think I remember the one you're talking about--we have a couple of members here who make all sorts of neat toys. Sometimes they make their way into the classies...

Sounds like one of the meters that para made. Maybe he posted a how-to in the modding forum? Either way, coming across one of the few that exist is going to be tough, making one or finding someone to do so is your best bet

I have a couple questions

first, is there a cheap eGo type a rebuildable addy

and 2, where can I buy food grade PG/VG in a store, and what do I ask for?

PG can be purchased at tractor supply stores, and VG can be purchased at any drugstore or Walmart. I found VG at CVS in the skin care aisle marked simply glycerin ( yes, it has multiple uses).

310vapers -- the xtar wp2 ii charger plus a spare pair of spacers will run $14.50, and shipping's reasonable. Set the switch on "1" for the smaller 14500 batteries (500 mA max charge current -- "2" is 1 amp, use it for large 18650 batteries). They also have AW IMR 14500, at $7.43.

rtd has a lower 14500 price, but their xtar charger costs noticeably more.
