PILOT/M401 USB hookup - I LOVE IT!

I recently bought a USB connection for my PILOT (m401) and I absolutely love it! I have it hooked into a USB wall plug power connection so I can sit on my sofa and vape while I'm watching TV and I don't have to change the battery every 1-2 hours. It's sort of like using a Hookah (I think that' the correct term). I bought the USB connection through esmokershop.com. They are the only US company that I could find that carries the USB connection for the PILOT/M401. It seems well built and is white like an analog cig with a black cord and even has an orange LED light at the end (which I didn't even notice for the first week of use). I'm very very pleased with it.

Same here. I hook mine up on a Kensington PP and I don't have to worry about batteries that much anymore. The consistency is world's better and much less frustrating.

I got one this week, too. I also got an adapter that lets me plug the usb into the lighter jack in my car, which has save a bunch of battery charging and gets much more consistently thick vapor.

I am still trying to get my hands on one as well. http://esmokershop.com is still out of them... I googled and found TRUEMAN ECIG USB Passthrough RN4081 M401 DSE084 DSE901 DSE801 DSE101 DSE103 DSE084 KR808 - Powered by ECShop has them for only $9 each so was going to buy 4 since it is shipping overseas... but they are out of them as well.. JUST found that Electronic Cigarette Portal (Central Trade) is now selling them 2 for $13.89 (in sample section) and 10 for $59.88! But they do have a bulk amount requirement on hardware (couple hundred $$) and you have to pay $15 fee for orders under that... and they also do not tell you the shipping fee until after you process the order and no Paypal just direct bank to bank transfer or western union. Definately better suited for the suppliers/resellers. So for the moment I have given up as that is just too much hassle even though the price is fantastic!

Can you link me to a place where I can get a usb adapter for the lighter jack? That sounds great and would like that when/if i finally get a passthrough. I wonder if tigerdirect would have something like that..

Here you go prr... I haven't tried it yet 'cause the car has been broken down and I dare not in my father's benz, but the specs sound right. Damn, they're on sale too, I paid $4.99 shipped. They also have many others, dual outputs etc. Just make sure you check the specs (5v @ 1000mah).

We've got together with some others in the UK (plus a couple in Denmark) and have purchased a batch from Central Trade. They shipped today, so hopefully they won't take too long to arrive...... I'm waiting patiently - honest!

Yes.. I took the risk and ordered from Trueman... and it turned out VERY well. He responds to emails promptly. Got his sh#t in order and the paypal credit card option is working. I know the shipping is expensive.. But well worth it.. Seems to be the only one who has these things in stock.. and at $9 a piece I ordered 4...

I also just ordered two of these:

The wall unit is 1000mah... so these will power the passthroughs perfectly.. and only $2.97 for both car and wall. The passthroughs work on my puter, but need a little more power~_*

Check it out... perfect.


The passthroughs at trueman are the exact same ones as the US supplier had for $25 a pop.

Thanks feya, you know I bought a coby wall adaptor for my PT.. 5 v.1000mah... Twice using it and thats when my 401 PT blew. Which took 3 dead attys to realize something was way wrong lol ( they glowed wicked red when trying to vape= burnt taste there after... I have no idea if it was just my PT's time to go or if the coby played a hand in its demise..Now I'm just plain scared to try and retest it all lol....

I'll risk one and see how the adapter I am getting does.. I have not yet had a 401 atty die... so I'll risk one of those as well.. if it happens... I'll just stick with the puter hookup... I'm pretty happy with it so far.. It will save me on batteries as I work at my puters. One is right next to my bed so I can even read a book and vape off the puter! lol! My other puter (not the one next to my bed) is much more powerful so it may be more consistant. I agree the puters are at safe levels and the adapter is a risk... hopefully in the future someone will make a better passthrough . I emailed Ruyan last week and they said they would talk to SMOORE about manufacturing a passthough themselves. NOW THAT would ROCK!

Janty is also developing a 401 adapter for their JantyStick... That packs a lot of power too so we shall see... Oh! And of course once the Jantystick has that adapter I will be getting one

I was using it in the wall socket (preferred) . I'm not sure if that makes a difference..Please do let me know how yours works....Congrats on the jantystick.. I've got a few mods coming as well... I have such high hopes..ahh not to have to charge batts and carry so much gear....

No congrats just yet.. It may be a month or two before they make the 401 adapter.. They just finished the 901 adapter (started with the 801)... and the 401 is next in line! I WILL get one when it comes out They are making the JantyStick the most versatile batterypack on the market!

I'm a 401 .... exclusively at this point.. I'll wait~_*

ihntx that is funny ... I call mine my e-hooka too. Becareful if you drip though I fried 2 of them in short order from dripping. "Knock on wood" I haven't lost a single battery to dripping either so I do not know what I am doing different. I gutted my first one to make it manual and ended up torching 3 atomizers ... ouch ... slow learner. First one was 6 weeks old so I thought it just gave out second I blamed on the high power output of the Kensington battery pack but I lost my last hooked to the computer. When I got my hands on the second passthrough I tested its output and found out it has a voltage regulator built in it that I gutted out in my first input was 5.2 volts and output to atty was 3.7 volts. Going to try and save the voltage regultor in my second attempt at making a manual passthough.
