So your at the movies vaping and you just topped off your cart. You are going to put on cart back on the atty when you relize you can't see inside the atty to allign the cart properly. What do you do?

With my Pink Dots I can tell witch way the bottom of the atty is without seeing it. I can put the Cart on correctly!

Work great for those who can't see well (low light conditions) or while driving.

You can feel the dots as well as see them!

Couple drops fingernail polish.

Not a bad idea at all. I try to line up my 901 cart so that the bridge doesn't hit the flat edge of the cart because it can damage it and cause leaking. I keep a flash light handy, but the dots would make it easier.

Depending on the e-cig, if you look at the shape of the end of the cart and look into the atomizer at the bridge you might see that the bridge will center better depending on how the cart is installed. This is very noticable on the 901, the flat part of the cart can hit the atty bridge and be damaged...

I had a couple damaged and they tended to leak and I don't like juice in my mouth. No damage since I started paying attention to the alignment.

I could tell before I got mine that it should go one way or the other. Some forum members were talking about melted carts.. and this is why.

------------------------------------------------------------

So Xxxxxxx PM'd me a told me how to do it (Sorry for posting a PM- this is info people should know!)

Otherwise, if you're 90* off, where the wick comes up, towards the cart, it's *possible* the flat spot could push into/against the wick.

Once the unit's in your hand, 'alignment' should be obvious. Think of a rectangle inside the mouthpiece, which is the inner cart with stuffing. Now look at the atty wick. Make the cart 'wrap' the wick. Done.

Sorry, not true, even 801 cartridges melt, (and those are perfectly centered on the wick), and that happens only if you vape continuously and go dry without stopping, no such thing as alignment. :p

Anyways...those dots would not necessarily need to be pink, right? :D

I have found that it does really matter with my 510. If I align the cart parallel to the bridge it places the flat sides of the cart too close to the coil. A 510 can really cook the cart if you allow it to get dry or keep the button down too long. Of course if you allow the cart to melt a gap in the flat side it makes the draw a little lighter. But, that's not too good either. Anyway my carts last longer now.

my 901 carts have to be lined up, the OEM filling gets stuck on the atty otherwise, and it won't even fit on all the way with Tea Bag filler if I don't. I used nail stickers to mark the line up point, this also gave me a way to denote cart strength, so I don't have to guess which is which on the go, by using different stickers for different nic levels; 0, low, med, hi. ( i vape anywhere from 24 to 0 nic depending on how my day is going)

well I've allway aligned it, and I've never had a burnt cart. I think the shape of the bottom of the atty (where it gets hot) should corespond to the opening of the cart shape which is giving exposure to the cart filler material.

your milage may vary

Excellent Idea! :)

(...and here I thought I was just strange and the only vaper to align my carts.)

Thanks Robert!! ;)

I've been thinking about nail polish color- more manly colors- whatever that means maybe black / white

but I like your nail stickers idea- cause I also like to use the same atty and cart for each flavor- so maybe stickers would be better- cherry's - for cherry bomb, maybe skulls for ry4?= got to find some punkrock type girl nail stickers....hmm
