Good afternoon all,

I am running two 1.8 Kanger dual coils in my Aerotank Turbo mounted on my Seven30 and for the Ohms, it reads 1ohm even though it's .9 ohms. Today, I put in two 1.5 heads to vape at .7 ohms and my Seven30 reads .9ohms. Does anyone have an idea why the readings are off? I have heard that there is a slight chance that Kanger coils are not exactly what they're labeled as but I'm wondering if that's the case or is my mod is not working right.

When I first purchased the mod, I didn't have to adjust the 510 connection. It seemed to fit just right out of the box and everything is working as it should (except for the ohms). Could there be a connection issue where it's not reading as it should?

Thanks!

I do not have an outside meter. That would help narrow things down a bit but I just have the mod itself

So if you are only basing the error based on what the heads are sold as, I would say the error is with the heads themselves. It's not uncommon to see errors of 0.1 all the way up to 0.5 and beyond between the resistance stamped on the head and the actual.

Until you can check with either an ohm meter or a DMM, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Also, while I am not familiar with that particular mod so this may not apply to your situation, one one of my coils that I metered out showed about 1.33 ohm yet my mod was showing it as 1.4 ohm. So I went ahead and metered out the the threading to the battery and was getting roughly 0.08 ohm resistance. Add that to the 1.33 ohms of the coil plus the 0.1 ohm accuracy of the mods built in ohm meter and you get 1.4 ohm as a readout. In my case, there was a little bit of gunk that built up around the contact pin that was adding so much resistance. But far more likely, as others have stated, it's just that the pre-built coils are off advertised spec by some degree. Although, still within acceptable production limits (acceptable to the manufacturer).
