safe distance from a black hole
Im coming around to the look of it. I know it looks silly but I can deal with silly, no problem at all.
Im sold on the idea and vape experience of it.
I took it to work and quietly pulled it out and started puffing during the break in front of 3 smokers and 2 other vapers.
We all had a laugh. So that was good.

It is the air flow and cooler vape that gives the stronger throat hit....I think.
Im going to slice one in half longways and check out the cross section of it to see how the bore changes from the tank end to the mouth tip.

I assume that's a real pipe stem. They're drilled about half way and turn into a rectangle, hopefully the transition is smooth or it leads to the pipe spitting. You can probably feel what it does with a pipe cleaner.

This is my all day every day vape. It's a homemade passthrough made out of solid cherry. The tank is a Joyetech Tron S. The "drip tip" is from a cheap tobacco pipe from China. I drilled the bottom out to fit in a stainless steel drip tip, also from China, that has dual o-rings. I hold it near my chest almost vertically.

I must be the only person who thinks it looks kind of cool, actually.

I also find drip tips do a ton more than I thought actually. Material MAKES a difference, I am convinced that ceramic is sort of extra cooling, almost a menthol like effect (well, that's what I get anyway). SS heats up faster.. Shape MATTERS, in the sense that I enjoy those bell cap drip tips that look like a vase or whatever, sort of concentrates the vape at the base and then as it narrows, it can cause vape intensity. I actually had to turn DOWN some of my wattages with some of those caps because less air OUT means more popping and spitting unless paired fairly exactly with AIR IN and sometimes it is uneven.

But yeah basically I am staying that drip tips made a HUGE difference for me. At first I was putting the N2 drip tip on everything and well, I was used to it, but as I branch out into materials, well I find I enjoy different types of things with different setups. For me, many of my RTAs do well with just a straight, not too long drip tip (MTL ones) although I could probably experiment with those more too. I probably will frankly, as I continue vaping.

Yes, I agree, I dont like metal drip tips or delrin(?) driptips and I discovered after a while that I like slightly longer thinner drip tips but they are problematic when pocketing or moving around doing stuff.

Its a plastic stem with a 510 end on it. It could be a real pipe stem altered or it could be just a mock up look alike

Thats really cool!
Part of the rational, a part from the fun of it, in buying the pipe stem was that when I sit with my feet up relaxing and the vape tank starts getting emptier the tank would be in a more comfortable upright position and I could get a few more puffs in before I had to get up and refill. Lazy, basically.
