For those of you who have never had the pleasure, a pizzelle is a thin, flat, crisp cookie. Kind of like a waffle cone texture. It isn't super sweet, and it has just a hint of almond and licorice. It is really a very mild cookie compared to american standards and I wanted this juice to reflect that.

Pizzelle
3% cookie (FA)
2% amaretto (CAP)
1% licorice (LA)
1% french vanilla (CAP)

I know this doesn't seem like a lot of flavor, but it works. The cookie and licorice are very strong, and the amaretto and vanilla are there for some background notes, and sweetness. This flavor really needs some time to steep, at least a week. As always, feel free to adjust as you see fit. If you make it, tell me what you think.

I don't feel the licorice is overpowering. It is pretty balanced as far as cookie to licorice ratio goes. I used to make pizzelle's all the time, so I really wanted this to mimic that taste. It isn't like eating a black jelly bean. It's more like "I put a butter cookie in a ziploc bag with some black licorice and a week later it came out tasting like this". I should also stress that this is a light flavor, as far as my recipes go. If you get the chance, get some of the cookies too. Find an Italian Grandma that makes these for Christmas and make her your friend.

I have dibs on the name "Leave the mod, take the cannoli" That is a really good idea Crunk. I don't see any ricotta cheese extracts anywhere, but I bet I can fake it. Maybe...

3% blueberry extra (TFA)
2% bavarian cream (TFA)
4% vienna cream (FA)
2% cheesecake (TFA)
2% cookie (FA)
1% pie crust (TFA)

I am out of blueberry right at the moment or I would try it. That is just an untested shot in the dark, but I bet it would be yummy. I wish I could find a way to add that slightly fatty, fried flavor to recipes.

I bet Biscotti would be a good one too i'll have to get some vienna cream.
cake, brown sugar, anise, almond, pie crust and sweetener

I've been working on biscotti with anise, cookie, and various almondy flavors. I love homemade pizzelle and this recipe will tide me over til then, so thanks.
