The opening in the below picture is the black dot that you see in the very next picture.
When you take the drive in the park to go down to the canyon floor you drive through a long tunnel that they blasted inside if the mountain.
They cut this opening to give them air flow as they were making the tunnel and it gives you a nice view of the canyon but they don't allow you to stop there.
Didn't some famous dude almost get hit by lightning standing near that bush reading some kind of tablets or sumthin.
