Do you normally send shipping or tracking information when an order has been placed?

I've only ordered from the US site, but they always send an email to let me know it's shipped and tracking information for it.
I placed an order on the US site an hour and a half before they opened. You'd think by the end of the business day that there would be some sort of notification. I got notification right away that. They were paid!
Just thinking here... it's a stretch, but... there may actually be other people who also placed orders. I don't know that for a fact, but just throwing it out there for consideration.
I've ordered from them twicw. Got e-mail in about five minutes. Tracking info was received 2 days later
