Hey all im pretty new to the vaping world started about a week ago. i purchased a Blu e-cig (ya i know) But every so often i will taste a strong burning taste/smell as well a burning plastic smell thats the best way i can describe it. So this has got me wondering the stuff inside the carts looks like cotton but ive read its actually polyfill (sp) i was wondering how safe is this stuff if its in fact burning. Would this cause health effects? such as burning plastic causing lung damage and such or am i just over worrying about stuff lol. Anyways im sure someone can explain what exactly this stuff is in the carts and how safe it is to (Our lungs) if its in fact safe.

That taste you are getting is from the melting filler and burning juice. It happens most often when the carto is drying out or just not wicking fast enought. It must be getting into your lungs because you can taste it. Don't really know how bad it is and maybe someone else can chime in on that. You can avoid it to some extent by keeping your carto topped off. Are you refilling your cartos yet?

Since you have a blu I'm assuming you're using the supplied atomizer/cartridge hardware. Check the atomizer for any stuck fibers or cartridge foil stuck on the tip (I used to own a blu myself, this is a common "issue"). Simply use a toothpick or pin or tweezers to carefully clean anything stuck to the atomizer. Do this carefully since you do not want to damage the foil material around the atomizer coil (the silver mesh-looking material). These atomizers are "washable". You can rinse them off with hot water and carefully blow them out or let them sit to dry. (There are many more methods but since you're new I'll leave it at that. It's simple and works.)
Additionally, if you vape the cartridge too dry you'll get that "burnt" taste. No real worries there as long as you refill or change carts right away.
