So I've been vaping long enough to remember "tank crackers" - e-liquid with ingredients that will actually melt or crack plastic tanks. If you do a search (or remember) there are threads and lists devoted to the flavor ingredients that will destroy a plastic tank, which back in the day was usually a clearomizer.

Glass clearos like the Kanger Protank and after that RTAs with glass tanks made all of that a moot point and, for me, moving to squonking with metal (usually stainless steel) RDAs eliminated the worry altogether from my vape life. I could choose my eliquid based on what I liked, without fear of melting or cracking a tank. Yay!

Enter the latest round of POD mods which have captured my fancy. Nearly every one I own has a plastic pod with a replaceable coil, and now I'm wondering the effect of banana, citrus, cinnamon, etc may have on the pods I am using. I'm guessing that the effect in minimal on throw-away pods like the Orion as the coil will fail before the tank is compromised, but I'm reusing the pods on my Nautilus AIOs and Smok Nords, among others.

Somebody please tell me that the plastics used now are different/impervious to my favorite cinnamon or banana-based juice, and that I have nothing to worry about.
