Yep, I 'v had the same problem and thought it was just me being new! I have an ego and I ordered a box of 5 of the megacartos and used my first one for my atomic cinnocide. It tasted fine at first, but quickly started to get that plastic taste. I thought perhaps it was running low on juice, so I refilled it again even though I was getting tons of vapor. Thats when I noticed the tiniest bit of warping or melting of the carto around the base, close to the battery. Used another one for my Gorilla juice and in short time, the flavor switched again to the plastic. Now I have 3 left and am leery of using them.

Thanks for the thread. It clears things up for me a bit too. What is a really good dependable carto to use on my ego?? Getting a bit tired of refilling constantly. May even start to try the dripping method.

Happy trails,

bully mom

Hey there, Bully Mom ... what do you say we quit screwing with these eGo megas and just consider it a lesson learned? (One of many ... and probably many more to come ...) The Boge 2.0 regular 510 cartos are great. They don't need to be refilled as often as you may think ... and it beats the hell out of a long lasting PLASTIC vape. Rock on, Bully Mom!

I used those when i first started. I started to bet that burnt taste. They are pretty horrible. I then switched to g4 clear cartomizers used them for a while. No burnt taste they were ok. easy to fill no syringe, But they were a bit cold. Now upgraded to LR Boge cartomizers in a Jtank. Never go back. Too easy and convenient compared to all the syringe filly things. I just don't wanna carry syringes around with me. And the flavor is much better. Tried the dual coils too they are great. Only problem i found with them is they seem to get really hot if you vape a lot. But they too are an excellent choice. The ego mega cartomizers suck. Stay Away.

The thing is, when they dont burn, they're great. I've taken these apart before and where the coil sits is plastic,
not ceramic, and I guess sometimes the coil touches the plastic. You can see where its melted. On the ones
where the coil is properly placed, they work great. Problem is - probably half are bad. I've been saving my good
ones and after a few weeks use a pipe cutter to open them up and clean them out. Just have to be careful where
you slice them. I brought 80 of these quite awhile back in a co-op before I realized the extent of the problem.
When I'm through those I'll probably use the shorty ce2s. I think they give a pretty clean taste (after you clean
them out). Only downside is that they only hold about 1ml.

I tried three different tank systems. All three were terrible for me. I only use cartomizers, single and double coil now. Atomizers really don't benefit for the price I paid for them. I always find myself trying to make it perform better after the second or third day of usage. I get more consistent use out of a cartomizer, being TH, vapor, and flavor...Great choice on the cartomizer.

Jackie, I'm inclined to agree with you on these plastic whales. I am going to send off a quick not to the lovely ladies at cignot and see if they have any suggestions for using these things or if they can recommend any videos that they think might be helpful. I love those gals at cignot and I can't say a bad thing about them but I will not be getting anymore of those megacarts. This has been a great thread with lots of good information and I will decide on my next order today.

And yes dear Jackie.... a big lesson learned!!! Take care darlin.

I definitely think it's the atomic cinoccide melting the carto. Many people havge said it even melts the tanks.

Just to be clear, are you talking about these cartomizers?

I have a few of them. I don't hate them but it's hard to know when you need more juice.

You might want to try the ego dual coil cartos at mad vapes.

I happen to like the echo-e cartomizers just as well if not better. They last as long if not longer and don't kill your battery and look a little better than the dual coil cartos.

You could try this- I've never tried it but I'm going to-

Swedenfish ... these are definitely the crummy plastic-tasting cartos I meant! Blah! Anyway, have never tried the echo-e cartos. And please let me know if your last link carto is a "keeper". I always appreciate the knowledge you show in your posts!

I'm just ready to try them, I read about them the other day and might give them a shot.

Bill in the suppliers section (a great guy) sells the echo and echo-e kits and sells the echo-e cartomizers pretty cheap. Supposedly they can be cleaned and refilled 100x (that's what was said when the first came out). I'm still on my first one. I'm using clear PG juice in that one but it's lasting forever.

I don't happen to like whistle tips, but he sells drip tips that fit on them. When I first got it, I didn't think I liked it. The draw seemed sort of hard at first but the more you use it, the easier it gets. I'm starting the really like these a lot.

I'll find the link.

Here it is-

I have the mapvapes mega xl clear dual coil cartos...and they kick ....:) Been vaping them at 12 watt all weekend...no burnt taste...juice is still clear...love them:)

Have you tried the echo-e cartos? I think I actually like them a little better than the ones from mad vapes. I'd like to hear from someone else that tried both. I think the ones from Mad Vapes have a hard draw. Do you?

Nevermind- You're not talking about the ego dual coil cartos- the big black ones.

Yes I do like the clear xl dual coil cartos a lot!!
