ATT has a no contract plan for 60.00$ with 2gb

No AT&T ever again. I'm very "if it ain't broke…" so when the old AT&T split up I kept them for my long distance and Bell Atlantic (now known as Verizon) for my local.

A few years ago they contacted me. My bill was past due. If I didn't pay it, they would disconnect me. I had paid my bill online from my bank. AT&T took a very limited number of electronic payments. For the others, the bank sent checks. I explained that the check had been mailed and could give them documentation. I didn't want to send duplicate payment because they would find the check and cash it. They said they wouldn't do that and if I didn't pay, I would be disconnected over a $20-something bill. (I had been a customer for decades.)

I cancelled the check and paid them with my credit card. The next bill included a $15 fee for sending them an unfunded check. They had tried to deposit the cancelled check. I got them to drop the fee, paid them with my credit card and switched to Verizon the same day. (And the plan I got is cheaper for unlimited local & long distance than I was paying to AT&T before.)

AT&T is broke. I fixed it.

[/end rant]

I could tell you some horror stories about companies we dealt with right after Katrina.
My rant would last for several pages/hours.
