Hey everyone...

Sooooo, I decided to order some more VB "Cola" flavored juice, as I'm wanting to make my own version of "Cherry Cola". While I don't mind it with Wild Cherry, I'm starting to wonder if I'll hit the nail on the head by using regular cherry flavoring as opposed to "wild" cherry flavoring. Anyone have thoughts on this??

Better yet...Has anyone mixed anything besides a cherry-esque flavor with Cola? If so, what kind of results did you get?? Holler at me! :D

Alright, after some experimenting, here's my prototype "Cherry Cola" mixture:

60 drops VB Cola juice
30 drops VB Wild Cherry juice
10 drops VB sweetener

While the cola is a rich flavor, it's no match for the potency of the wild cherry!! It takes a LOT of cola juice to get a blend reasonable enough to call it "cherry cola". I added the sweetener to give the flavor a bit more body, as it seemed too flat without it. I'm getting closer to what I'm aiming for, probably going to have to let it steep up a notch before tweaking again.

Now to start brainstorming on what else would be good with cola...Maybe mix in some Mutt's??? Mutt-N-Cola FTW. :D

I found that VB cola is too subtle to work. I found that VB "Bottle Top" tastes more like cola. Then instead of the cough syrup flavor of wild cherry, I use regular cherry. Use the same 1:2 ratio of cherry to bottle top. As 0smitty mentioned, i would add a sweetener (it does taste flat and boring without it). I use Splendex or EZ-Sweetz. I like it sweet so I use 1 drop (sometimes 1.5 drops) per ml. EM as a sweetener is too subtle and takes weeks to develop (sucralose is immediately sweet, EM is not).
