I just got my Riva 901 kit in Friday from Liberty Flights. I had ordered a drip tip with it, which I started using right away. But I had also ordered some extra, blank whistle-tip carts. With the drip tip, I was only putting 3-4 drips in because it would start to gurgle with more and, frankly, I was pretty much constantly dripping.

So, I decided to go ahead and give the carts a shot, leery because of getting the fluid in my mouth and inconsistent flavor/throat hits using my old 510s and 4081s with carts. BUT as it turns out, you can get 7-8 drops into these carts, they do not leak, the flavor and throat hit remain smooth and consistent as does the volume of vapor for the equivalent of about 3 cigs.

I'll write a more in-depth review of my stuff later but just wanted to get this out there; I advise getting the whistle tip carts (I suspect the round ones work just as well as LF sells quality items... these blank carts, for example, had three layers of packaging/protection for each cart; these tips are great with your Riva 901 kit so you don't have to constantly drip.

You would put more than 8 drops in a standard 901 whistle tip? If so, more power to ya... the whole point is that unlike my 510 and 4081 experiences, the 901 cartridge actually rivals (or beats, depending on your criteria) the option of using a drip tip. If I had had a drip tip for my old 510s and 4081s, I would have definitely used it because you could only get a few drops in those and it wasn't a steady vape, not to mention how often e-liquid would get in your mouth and on your hands.

I'm gonna be checking into tank systems. It's hard for me to figure out because I need different things for different times (I'll probably post a separate threat on this; which PV system for which day/situation). I've read through this forum for a while and I'm still trying to figure out and decide a few things that cannot be necessarily easily answered by varying opinions. For example, I'm disabled right now and not working so I don't leave the house much--that situation is one I hope won't be permanent (waiting on my 3rd back surgery) but it is my reality now, so it would make sense to get something big... something not tailored for those who need travel-friendliness. But even so, I just don't like the idea of holding something the size of a gd banana just so I can keep from having to do constant maintenance to vape. I want to vape all day on one fill, and I want a consistent throat hit and nic delivery (don't care about vapor, but let's face it--it tends to accompany the th and satisfying nic delivery). So I find myself asking that; do I have to vape on something 20 times the size of a cigarette just to give myself the same feeling minus the carcinogens? There has to be a better way.

Edit: I realize I have a hockey stick in my mouth and that there is irony to be had here, so it's important to note that I put that stick in my mouth once, for five seconds, to try to bite it in half to show my spirit for my team against certain enemies. Put another way, I'd never vape a hockey stick mod.
