I thought the ban was for selling liquid.

In Australia the nicotine juice is banned under law

it is not allowed to be imported or sold in Australia,--
there is no mention in the law about zero nic juice, or about the actual hardware of the ecigs -

other countries also have many and varied bans on ecigs and or nicotine juices-

as far as Paypal --

they have been threatened and co-erced by anti smoking and big tobacco-via the pharma companies,

I WROTE TO PAYPAL -------
I asked if it was ok to use paypal to sell ecigs, NOT e-juice with nicotine-
they said - NO WAY .
their explanation was -------------
paypal was told if they support and allow transactions of ecig related stuffs-
that they could and would be sued if anything ever went wrong because they were facilitating the sales of unproven products and substances -------
because ecigs and ejuice is new, and untested and unapproved by any government bodies.

Ebay was told the same things by the same people-
and now ebay bans sales of ecigs and ejuice also -----

Paypal and ebay will drop anyone and cancel their accounts -
for the carrying of ecigs and ejuice.

so many ecig sellers were using paypal, and then when they started banning accounts, most everyone went to other e-commerce solutions.

Not quite true, it's not allowed to be imported in commercial quantities but it's fine for personal use as long as you don't sell it. I had a 1L bottle of 100mg plain nic juice in VG which was clearly labeled as such opened by customs for examination and they had no issues sending it on to me.

I had a box with 1 x 30mls -26mg ejuice
and a lot of passthru wires, and usb plugs,
and a necklace and a bag of lollies - sent to me from a friend in usa,
customs took everything and sent the box back to the sender with a bag of lollies left in there that was all- !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what the hell is illegal about usb stuff ???????

on the other hand -- I get packages all the time from china with ecigs and e-juice and customs opens some of them, but I never had anything removed or confiscated before----

so I guess it depends on the mood of the officers on the day ????

That is probably the case. A few years ago I took my grandson to visit my brother in Michigan. We went several times across the border into Canada. The last time when we were coming back they wanted proof that he was my grandson. He said I had to have a legal document. He was 14 at the time. He told them I was his grandmother. I was beginning to think we were going to have to leave him in Canada. I had a hand written note stating I had permission to take him to the doctor if necessary. It worked even if it wasn't a legal document. It does depend on who is in charge and their mood.

OH, my, that would have been scary--

Well, many e-cig sellers use Paypal and this doesn't seem to be an issue.

Although I know two of my mates got their payments frozen by Paypal - they both sold items on eBay, to make this more "funny".

yes, sometimes these people do not seem to have rhyme or reason to their actions,
and they are totally inconsistent ------

for quite a while now - paypal has been systematically cancelling out accounts of anyone who sells e-cigs,
many many sellers got caught and had to shut down for a while till they found an alternate payment method -
now most sellers do not go to use paypal, for this reason, they start immediately with a different payment option --- :)

as you say- some ecig sellers are still using paypal,
and doing just fine ------
inconsistency again - or just lucky till they get caught. :)

But to deliberately report someone -
well - thats not nice --- :(

Ye, I saw FDA warned PayPal about e-cig sellers.

Although if you look in UK, the most known sellers use PayPal. I guess we just need to wait who's going to be next. Or maybe PayPal do not care unless you tell them you know an e-cig seller who uses their service and report it.

Kinda nasty way to make an e-cig seller's life hard if you don't like them.

Yes, they seem to be letting them have a pass in UK at this time-

but they did in Europe for a while too -

then - whoops - all hell broke loose-

they are big on slapping down the USA guys tho- poor buggers - they hit hundreds in a month - a while back ---
it was a mad house---- :(

best to be safe and go with another option I think --
:)
