Trapped within my imagination
I've read enough to be pretty good at trouble shooting but, this is a new one on me...I have a 901 and a pilot...I have a passthru from e-smoker for my 401( sturdy) that I have been using lightly for about 3 weeks with excellent results... I also recently bought a "Coby CA81 dual USB power adapter/charger" To just plug in the wall and use with my 401 passthru, on several recommendations, so that i could alternate my ecigs - " I've been using this successfully for about 3-4 days ...

Well last night I picked it up ( It was in the coby) I got no vape and a burnt smell.. I did the usual troubleshooting list..Still nothing...I took the cart off and just vaped the atty.. I noticed that it vaped a few times then nothing..but, I also noticed after vaping the atty coil was cherry red ( I don't think I remember that happening in the past)...I dripped some on the atty..It vaped better but was still tasting burnt ( all 4 taste burnt now, no matter what apparatus I use) and didn't last long... So I figured, either my passthru had died or the coby was too strong or one heck of a bad batch of attys ( all this time I was pulling out new attys and they were doing the exact same thing- 4 in total)... I switched one to my freshly charged battery.. And it vaped for a few then the batteries started going wonky too, acting like it was needing a charge (LED was barely lighting)

I have a stash of about 20 attys for my 401 but, at this rate that'll last a week lmao...I'm scared to even try again..Any suggestions? Pleeease lol..Thanks you guys

mods if you think this thread would get a better response from experienced vaperors ( what a word lol) in the Gen conv area, feel free to move my frustrated self..

Hi lucky I had printed off the proper voltage recommendation from several experienced peeps and took it with me to best buy- input- 1.50a Max..Output - 1.00A max..... I dont think thats it, I have used it now for well over a month, its worked sooo good..and Ive not used the RN4075 since reading of your drama and this is just on my 401

Hi fogger, yes I had thought the same thing...That's why I was priming it..Is it possible that I had already burned it from lack of juice - too far gone? And before the new attys.. I never really dripped with my passthrus, just occasionally

Does the passthrough have a manual switch on it? I'm guessing is does not in which case the passthrough is stuck in the on position if you were able to see the coil glowing without vaping. I had one do the same thing. Just sitting on the desk and it came on and burned out an atomizer without me even touching it. That burning smell is the atomizer super heating and burning off any gunk that built up on the coil. If it happens to every atomizer then I'd get rid of that passthrough. The one you tried on the regular battery was probably fried from the passthrough burning it out.

lol jim........ Actually, come to think about it... Its not happening/ coming on by itself.. only when it started messing with my attys this morning did i then pull off the cart and vaped on the atty and noticed it glowing ... Wasnt sure if it was the passthroug or that new coby wall adaptor I had gotten guess Ill never know unless I want to risk 3-4 attys lol ( although I think it did it with both of them - common factor is the passthru
