Hi Everyone,
I just started vaping on 02/19/10, this morning I noticed that my lips and mouth seem to tingle. The sensation doesn't seem to go away, even if I don't vape for a few hours. I did read that maybe I should rinse my mouth out after vaping. Has anyone else had this? Yesterday the inside corners of my mouth were really sore...Please help I have been analog free since Thursday and I want to stay that way...Am I using to high of a nicotine?

What type of liquid are you using? It could be too much nicotine or it could be a reaction to PG or VG depending on what you're using. It could also be the result of getting the actual liquid on your mouth. There is condensation occurring in the mouthpiece from the heat of the atomizer. This can get on the mouthpiece or be drawn into the mouth. It can burn or tingle depending on the strength of your liquid.

You can try a different liquid (type or strength) and make sure to wipe you mouthpiece especially after filling or topping off.

I'm gonna guess you have an automatic battery, which can lead to sucking on it too hard trying to get it to work (which can make your sucking muscles sore) and can also lead to getting juice in your mouth (tingling or burning sensation) although I should note that these things can also happen with a manual battery, just not as likely.

I also started vaping on 2/19 and love it after 48 years of analogs. Saturday morning, the roof of my mouth felt sore and I was worried it was the whole vaping experience. Turned out it was the flavor I was using. I switched to something else and fine. Today I tried the original one and it made my mouth feel sore again. Good luck.

Remember if you've dropped the traditional cigarettes you may be suffering from the cleansing routines that your body has adapted to. Many report that their throat and lungs seem a scratchy right after quitting- whether you use e-cigs or not. Some who smoked heavily, especially things like cloves, sometimes have teeth or gum issues afterwards as some cigarettes basically numb your nerve endings and allow you to ignore unrelated problems that may have developed (like if you couldn't feel a cavity before, but now it hits you full force).

When in doubt, see a doctor and put your mind at ease!

Thank-you everyone...after work today I came home and I tried a different flavor and it seemed to help. I think I might have been trying to may different things at once. I'm kinda of excited!! Tomorrow I will stick to the basics and slowly add to my routine. Process of elimination. I just can't believe how e-cigs have changed my life. I never had a desire to quit analogs ever. My sister told me about e-cigs and this forum, I hate to admit but I kinda thought she was a little crazy at first, I was wrong. Thanks again for all the information and please keep posting if something crosses your mind. I'm bound and determined to keep moving forward these past couple of days so far have been a breeze, I just hope it continues. Thanks again for eveyone's support.
