I went through the exact same thing you are going through when I first started. Found out that all most all tobacco flavors taste like chewing tobacco. After weeks of searching and trying tons of different eliquids I found that coffee flavors gave me the closest flavor to a bunt taste. When ever I meet a smoker switching to vaping this is the no. 1 advice I give them. Stay away from the tobaccos and try the coffee flavors. It's been a decade since I started and have now moved on to other flavors so I don't remember what brand coffee I used. Also with the new nic-salts out I recommend 35mg or higher for starting off with. If you are using free base nic then 12mg or higher which will also give you the throat hit you are looking for. I started out at 24mg free base nic, but back then the equipment was no where near as good as today. Just keep trying till you find something you can vape, you have everything to gain.

Coffee is a good suggestion. For me, I would only smoke two brands of cigarettes, I was that particular (or picky, to put a finer point on it) and I knew nothing would taste exactly like those. Tobacco flavors would never work.

Coffee is a pretty easy one to match or come close though. I found a commercial coffee when I first started that was really good, but I don’t think they make it anymore.

I haven’t been able to replicate it. But I do make a toasted almond that’s not sweet and might also be a good alternative to tobacco.

As they say, taste is subjective. To me, all Halo tobaccos taste like Pine-Sol and tar. But I love their menthols. :)

Carry on.

It really was the only one I found that gave me at least the sense of a cigarette....if that makes sense

The only thing that ever tasted remotely like tobacco to me was a burnt hit. That's not really sustainable though, and also probably not very healthy.

Adjusting your expectations may be the way to go. I don't vape tobaccos they all taste awful to me. You may be able to find may non-sweet liquids if you expand your search.

I find the taste of my vapes (I DIY) to be a pleasant move AWAY from tobacco. I was a 3 ppd smoker for many, many years, like decades.

It really was not the TASTE drawing me in, frankly.

Good luck and welcome.

Welcome and glad you joined.
The best vape equipment in the world is not going to improve a bad e liquid. To get an idea of flavors, could read:
