ok i've been vaping for about a month, and a carto seems to last me for 1-2 mls.. then i can no longer suck air through it, and have to toss the carto. if this doesn't happen, then i get a burning taste even after topping off the carto (which means i have to clean it, or do something). it doesn't matter the juice (i've tried about 15 of them). maintenance is really frustrating and i have no idea why it's getting clogged up (i'm using a riva).

i sometimes think how much easier analogs are compared to this.. and it's just tempting. at the rate that this is costing me and requires me to "work," i am afraid i might slip and revert to smoking cigarettes.

Your experience definitely sounds unusual to me as well. I get quite a bit more use out of mine. If nothing else maybe try a different Boge ohm rating or a different brand and see if that fixes your problem. A Riva or ego type batt is incredibly common and many people get a lot more use out of a carto than 1-2 ml. Don't give up yet!

You should be getting a lot more time out of your cartos. If you're getting a burnt taste then you don't have enough juice down in the bottom of the carto. I use the condom method for my first fill to make sure I feed the juice up through the threaded end of the carto and get the bottom filler good and wet ... top off from the top ... blow through the center to make sure it's good and open for airflow. You can use a toothpick or paperclip to wiggle the center a bit if it's blocked up, but I don't typically have to do that. Darker liquids tend to be more problematic. I typically get at least a week out of my Boge's.

You should get a minimum of 10 ml through them. What kind of juice are you using?

Boge cartos work the best for me with a solid 3.7v device. I would put the clogged ones (if they aren't burnt) on a fresh battery and take several short puffs, but don't inhale. Keep doing that and maybe you can vape through the clogging. I had this problem the first month of vaping and it was so frustrating to read when people said their cartos last a month or whatever.

For 510's try sticking a sharp needle in the small air holes just above the threads. Sometimes these get clogged with dried liquid. Also for both 510 and 808 a straightened out paper clip or even better, a long hat pin, pushed from the bottom thread hole up through the cap to be sure the center channel is straight and unclogged. (Do not do this on horizontal coils!)

After cleaning are you letting them dry completely?

Are you sure you've got 2 ohm Boges and not 3 ohm Boge cartomizers? I ask because the draw you're descibing sounds more like a 3 ohm Boge on a Riva. IMHO 3 ohm Boge cartos should only be used at 5 VT vaping. As far as burnt taste goes that happens because your carto is too dry and needs more juice. A carto lasting only 1-2 ml would mean only 1 to 2 fillings and thats barely enought to get a good carto up and running well.

Don't give up yet. Yes, getting things right in the begining can be frustrating sometimes but its more than worth it once you find what works best for you.

I've got some 2.4 cartos that I've used on my egos, riva and box mods and they get a tight draw. My boge 2.0 cartos never really get tight.. they just lose flavor after 3 days using tv waffle and if I use something like warm sugar cookie I can get almost a week out of one before it needs tossing or cleaning. It also sounds to me like you are using too high of a resistance for your pv.

thanks for the responses. i use a syringe to fill my cartos.

the problem is that air can't even get through the carto.. maybe the juice is drying up.

i have some 3.0 ohm cartos myself (and yeah, the draw seems weaker).. they've been working fine i think. it might just be the 2.0 ohm (i have a 3.7 battery btw).

im getting my cartos from crystal clear vaping.. maybe i should try a different vendor to test. anyone have an inexpensive vendor that has decent boges?

One of the worst things to do is overfill and try to vape it back to normal. For instance, if you hold up the carto to some light and you can clearly see through it, then you haven't flooded it. If you can't see into it, that means it's flooded. Very gently blow out the excess juice. If you try to vape the excess it could easily over-do the carto, and it won't vape right. This is just from my own experience, since I just had to toss out two cartos because I tried to vape through the flooded carto.

I've never used a syringe to fill them. A much easier way is to just directly drip onto the filler. I fill my cartos by taking off the soft cap of my cartos. I hold them at a 45º angle and drip 2 drops, then turn it. After about 12 drops, I let it soak up a bit, then I do it again. Once it's nice and "slushy" on the top, it's good to go. I have a carto of Peach from Vaporbomb (very thin liquid; thick liquid and cartos don't mix all that well) that's on two weeks and still doing pretty well. I'm on about a week with my Arctic Ice and Strawberry cartos as well. :) You'll get the hang of it, even if it's a PITA.

My cartos are from: LiteCigUSA, Liberty-Flights, or from sweet-vapes.com(only when I make a juice order, though).

it could just be the liquid... my re4nu burns threw carto's like no other

I agree, I've noticed quite a difference in different liquids in regard to the lifespan of a carto. My three main vapes are Juicy Peach, Mint Chocolate Chip, and Sweet Coffee with Irish Cream, all from DIY Flavorshack. With Juicy Peach, I get almost a week out of a Boge 2.0 carto before it needs to be replaced. The other two, I get 2 days, maybe three if I'm lucky. This is vaping about 3ml per day.
