I posted this in the general forum and received a suggestion to post here.

I dropped my Ego PT with the end cap on, straight down on the concrete outside. It hit directly on the cap. There are no dents, scratches.................but it doesn't work now. I push the button and nothing, I plugged it in to the wall adapter and nothing. The button doesn't lite up anymore. Can I take it apart and if so, how? I'm thinking maybe a wire may have jarred lose and I could reattach it if I can just take it apart. Any thoughts?

TIA, Pam

Since the eGo PT has a connection at both ends of the battery tube, I'd guess it's a bit harder to disassemble than a regular eGo battery, without destroying it. A regular eGo comes apart pretty easily if you put the battery connector (with a dead atty or carto attached) in a vice and wiggle the tube part off little by little.

That said. I'm willing to bet that you are correct in assuming a wire came disconnected from the circuitry. Unfortunately even if you do get it apart intact, the connections for the wires are very small and almost impossible to fix without precise soldering tools and the skill to do the job. It's not impossible and can't hurt at all to try but you may want to purchase a replacement.
