All I can say is you picked a fine time to jump on the vape train, as its fixing to crash. If you're serious about quitting cigs, 50 bucks might get ya started BUT.... Vaping is cheaper than cigs in the long run BUT not so much at first. Mods, batteries, battery charger, coils, juice (the never ending quest for the best flavor) are all necessary expenses. Then you have to decide what STYLE of vaping suits YOU. Direct lung vaping and mouth to lung vaping are very different from each other. Tell us specifically what you're looking for. Asking a forum for the recommendation of the best vape is like going to buy a car and asking what's the best car. Lots of choices, but as I said, bad timing. It's not your fault though, other than not making the decision to switch a long time ago.

Welcome to ECF @Mauro Dasie! :)

You might find something you can try for $50 at a vape shop to see if vaping might be something that you think will work for you to quit smoking tobacco.

I was hopelessly hooked on cigarettes and vaping was the only thing that worked for me. (30yrs+ smoker)

Once you have decided to commit, I would recommend a highly variable device (voltage, wattage and possibly temperature control) that can power a wide range of atomizers. This will save you money during the transition period where you discover what vaping style you prefer, mouth to lung or direct lung hits, and what flavors you prefer, tobaccos, caramels or fruit flavors.

I found it was important to find something just as reliable as a cigarette. Even a backup device just in case.

You might get lucky and find the setup that works for you right away, but it's usually a process.

Once you're dialed in you will find it can be way cheaper than smoking, but it can also become a great hobby. (Before nicotine is taxed out of existence)

ECF and its people are a priceless source of information that can help you find what you want, once you figure out your preferences.

Good luck!

If you never vaped before might be best to go to a vape shop and pick up something cheap, maybe a pod. That might give you a feel for vaping and help when you start thinking about where to go next. And maybe you could talk to people there and see what the options are. There are so many different types of vaping gear. The stuff I started out with wouldn't do it for me today. It took a lot of experimenting. What I use now might not work for you at all. Trying to figure out what would work best for you before you've tried vaping isn't likely to be successful.

Do you have any friends who vape?

Welcome to the forum, Mauro Dasie. I recommend YouTube if you enjoy passive learning. Put "vaping for beginners" in the engine. It helped me quite a lot when I was using the old Ego-T and plastic clearomizers to get started. I agree with those who recommend starting with something simple and inexpensive, to use while you explore options. From there you can peacefully do your research and discover your vape style, your best equipment, flavors, etc.

The most important thing, if you enjoy vaping, is to know that it may take some period of dual use, both smoking and vaping, before you are ready to pick a "quit day" for cigarettes. In the mean time, you need to gather and store nicotine.

Best of luck to you.
